Sedu Revolution Tourmaline Ionic Styling...LizSedu Or Ghdi have been debating on what hair straightener to get for a while now. i had a chi it stopped working in about 6 months, then i got a fhi and it doesnt seen to stay hot for long. I have very thick poofy hair and i cant really decide if i want this sedu or even an older one which ever works better and i was also looking at the ghd which is alot more expensive but i just want what would work the best. please help me decideReply to this postJan 19, 2010Link to this post-
MTexasI bought a GHD to replace my chi turbo and the high heat setting gave me more split ends. My hair is asian/wavy. Ive just ordered the Sedu Revolution after reading all the reviews. With the adjustable heat setting, Im pretty confident the straightener will work to my satisfaction.Feb 25, 2010Link to this post

AmyHouston, TexasI have biracial hair. I have both a sedu and a ghd. I find that the sedu is less damaging to the hair but it does not repel humidity as well as the ghd. With the GHD there is absolutely no frizz and you can really walk through a light rain and still have sleek straight hair. however, with the ghd my hair was starting to split at the ends. With the sedu my hair is straight and has more bounce but it does not remain without freeze in really bad humidity. now i am using my sedu, but will probably go back and forth.Feb 25, 2010Link to this post

LovelyMarylandI have very thick, poofy, volume blessed AA hair. This Sedu makes it so sleek, straight and flat that I dont have to iron again for like a week. The fact that I dont have to iron day after day is awesome as I dont have alot to time to spend on styling my hair every single day. I iron on Sunday night and just give the edges a bit of a bump through out the week. In my opinion I would say go for the 2008 Sedu. It really works wonders :-).Feb 25, 2010Link to this post

Sedu Revolution Tourmaline Ionic Styling...KarieI Want To Be Able To Have Nice Curls Too!I have frizzy, curly, fine hair. I have to style my hair or it looks like a mop! I like to straighten it but I also like to curl it. I just dont see how this iron will curl nicely.......it looks like any other straightener. Other striaghteners do not curl and leave horrible bumps and dents in my hair???????Reply to this postJan 19, 2010Link to this post-
Lisa, Hair Banger Extraordinarehi... im a licensed stylist and your problem is not with the iron itself its simply because you dont know what u r doing... what i suggest is u stop waisting your money buying all these flat irons and invest in a professional.... go to a hairstylist and ask them to teach u how to get the style you have been trying to create using one of the irons u currently own. a lot of the flat irons currently on the market have the curved edge so 9 times out of 10 u CAN achievethe look u desire u just have to know how to do it.Feb 25, 2010Link to this post

ZxnmWell, you dont need to use this straightner if you want your hair to be curled. You can though, but using products to tame hair also works. Try this:1. Wash hair, towel dry2. Try the CHI silk infusion or Biosilk(can purchase on folica) add nickel sized amount work through wet hair.3. while hairs still wet add dime amount of Tresseme Curl Care Bouncy Curl gel(can buy at grocery store or drugstore)5. Comb hair w/ a wide toothed comb to assure that hair products are spread throughout hair.4. Consider using a diffuser attachment when blow drying, it really helps, move that in a circular motion untill dry.5. Hairspray hair lightly.Feb 25, 2010Link to this post

Sedu Revolution Tourmaline Ionic Styling...MeganHumidityI currently live in houston, tx and the weather is extremely humid. I have natural unrelaxed hair which can be straightened easily by my T3 iron but the second i go outside it poofs up and gets frizzy again. Does this flat iron repel humidity or is it the same as others?Reply to this postJan 19, 2010Link to this post
