    Too Hot To Touch?
I use the Sedu Pro Ionic Ceramic Tourmaline Flat Iron (1"). I love the straightener, but it really hot when I touch touch the plastic on the outer side of the plates. I was wondering if Sedu Revolution is better, in that aspect? Please let me know!!! Thank you :)

      Sedu Revolution Is The Answer
I am sorry to hear that the outer plastic of your flat iron is hot to the touch. I own the Seduty Revolution. Because it is thicker between the plate and the outer plastic, it is not hot to the touch. In fact, I hold the tip when making tighter curls. It's a bit more expensive, but it's worth.

      Crazy Hot To Touch!
Sedu Revolution is the same. I have to touch the outside sometimes when I'm using it to wave my hair, and have actually singed by fingers black as soon as I touch it! I had to start using the glove that folica sent with the free gift mini straightener a while back. It's my one big complaint about sedu straighteners!

    Sedu Or Solia?
I have a Conair right now, does an alright job I supposed but I have to live through a lot of tugging and pulling and my hair ends up waving back to natural by the end of the day. I decided that enough was enough and it was time to put money into something that would do a good job. After crossing the CHI off my list, I'm stumped between whether I'd like the Sedu 1" or the Solia 1-1/4" straightener.

I have hair that's past my shoulders and it's very wavy and slightly course. I was hoping someone on here would be able to help me out - someone that's tried BOTH products and has had either for a long period of time (not a couple of months where it still works well, but longer just so that I can be sure that the straightener won't die on me). Thank you!

      Preference
      Hi Alicia.

Although I've never tried the Sedu 1", I have bought & used both the Solia 1-1/4" & the Sedu 1-1/2". The Sedu 1-1/2" was AMAZING for just straightening my hair, especially being very lightweight & shortening my straightening time, but it couldn't CURL my hair whatsoever, just flip it out or in slightly. The Solia 1-1/4", which I still have & use since 2006, is much more versatile than the Sedu 1-1/2", especially with CURLING my hair! That is the main reason why I gave my Sedu to my friend who only wanted to straighten her hair while I wanted to straighten, curl, flip, & whatever else to my hair. :)
I honestly want to give my Solia 1-1/4" to my sister, who needs a new good straightener & mine is still in great condition, & get the Sedu 1" for myself. I'll have to physically handle the 1", though, to see if I'd rather have it than another Solia 1-1/4" because it's a really good straightener. I'd say the only thing I personally prefer about the Sedu over the Solia is the lightweight design; at first I didn't like it because it didn't feel sturdy enough, but going back to the Solia after using the Sedu for a while made me miss the lightweight. So that is something I like about Sedu. :)

      Re: Sedu Or Solia?
      Hi Alicia!
I'm not if this will be helpful to you, but I've been having a hard time choosing a Solia or Sedu for over a month now. I understand that with so many mixed reviews, it can be a really tough choice! I have wavy hair that's past my shoulders, too, and in the end, I'm deciding to go with the Solia one and one-fourth inch flat iron for many reasons. After so much time researching both brands, I decided the Solia is probably my safest bet because the price is better, it's on "Best of Folica", and just seems like a good product, especially for people with hair types like ours. Plus, it comes in pink, purple, and orange!!:) Just an added bonus:) I also felt really confident about the reviews. I know I haven't used these products but I hope that my answer helped a little bit! Good luck!

      Comparison
Hi, if you go to the tools tab and click on flat irons, you can check the box next to the flat iron and do a side-by-side comparision of them.
