Everyday UsageTo turn it on, press and hold down the power button. Raise or lower the temperature in 20 degree increments by pressing the plus or minus sign buttons. While heating up, the screen flashes. The straightener will beep and its screen will stop flashing when it is completely heated up. I suggest you lock the temperature because it is easy to bump the buttons when you are holding the straightener. To do so, press and hold down the minus button and a lock symbol will appear on the screen. To unlock it, press and hold down the minus button again. If you are packing it for travel, hold the straightener closed and turn the knob at its base to the locked position and it will stay shut. I hope you love your straightener as much as I do!2 out of 2 shoppers thought this post was helpful.
