      Convertable Name
Convertable is just the name HAI has applied to this iron. It does not relate to it converting to another form.

      Will A Converter Work?
I took mine to India a few years ago and used a converter but the iron burnt out within minutes. Smoke started coming out and just quit working. I ordered a sedu that has british voltage and use a adaptor and it works great in any country that uses 220 voltage.

    How To Curl?
I recently bought the HAI convertable about a month ago. I know how to straighten and flip hair with it, but I cannot figure out how to curl with it! With my other flat iron, all I had to do was run the flat iron through the hair and stop at the tip. Then, roll the hair around the flat iron to the desired height. Leave for a few seconds, then Voila! I tried that with this flat iron, and needless to say that it did not work! I was wondering if anyone knew how to curl with this flat iron, or had personally done it!

      Curling With A Flat Iron.
To curl hair with a flat iron; take a 1-1 1/2 inch section of hair. Position the flat iron approximately 1 1/2 to 2 inches from the root of the section and clap the iron down. Rather than immediately dragging the iron to the end of the section (to straighten), you're going to rotate the iron, while it's clamped firmly on the section of hair, one FULL turn. You want the remaining free hair to com out of the BOTTOM of the flat iron. Once you've completed one full turn you may begin the pull the flat iron through the remainder of the section. Pull at a medium pace for loose curls or pull at a slow pace for tighter curls. Experiment and have fun but don't forget to protect with a heat styling product before curling. :)

    Hai 2 Vs. Hai Convertable
Im not sure whether to buy the Hai 2 or the Hai convertable, what is the difference and which one is better? Im looking for a hair straightener that gets my hair silky and very smooth. Im also scared to buy the Hai, because I dont want mine to break. I had the sedu, which fried my hair the first time I used it. Is this worth it or should I try the Solia?

      Hai 2 Vs. Hai Convertable
I would choose the HAI convertable. The HAI 2 is large and bulkie to use. You will find this useful when you travel. I know that some people complain about the it malfunctioning but it seems to be far in between. If never tried the Sedu or Solia. The HAI is still my 1st choice.
