JenUnited StatesHair Less Curly??I have had the Croc 2 infrared a little over a month and LOVE LOVE LOVE the way it straightens my hair. It never smokes and I never put anything on it. I followed the directions. I shampoo, condition, rinse and dry. However, when I wear it curly, it is not as curly anymore. The top and bottom two inches of my hair stay straight and the curls are a lot looser than before. My hair even seems thinner. Am I doing something wrong? Would heat protectant help or hinder this effect? Is there anyway to reverse the effect so I can have my curls back? I tried to grow them out for two years now and I would hate to have to chop them all off. :(Reply to this postAug 10, 2011Link to this post

Reale \.Hair Is Less Curly!Unfortunately, Ladies, the more you use heat on your hair the less your hair is going to be as curly as it was originally. Naturally, when you flat iron or curl your hair, your hair will start to be less curly than before. With naturally curly hair, it is essential to use a hair protectant even if you think you might not need it. The oil in the heat protect is what products your hair since the heat is actually burning off the oil and not your strands! unfortunately, heat damage cannot be reversed, it can simply only be cut off. On the matter of your hair being thinner, it is possible that the heat damage and the usage of the flat iron is what is thinning your hair. Naturally curly hair can only take so much heat. Flat iron it, get it done and then leave it alone. you never want to put too much heat on your hair at one time. Personally, I would proceed with caution by lessening the flat iron usage, and start using a heat protect, noodle head has a good heat protect and some natural oils, such as castor oil and kemi oyl are good protectants as well. Be mindful that blow trying your hair from curly to straight can also damage your hair, especially if you have no heat protect on it. Hope i was helpful!Jun 9, 2012Link to this post

LeannaLA, United StatesCurls Are Gone!!OMG i thought i was the only one....though i didn't think of connecting it to the flat iron (which would make TOTAL sense). My hair isn't really thinner but my ends in the back are like straightttt...its so annoying to wear my hair curly. ONLY thing i can say is A) turn the heat down & stick to the most recommended heat setting 300-350 B) IF your ends annoy you as much as they did me, cut off whatever you can bear & take some biotin/fish oil (hair supps.) to make the grow back period a bit easier. BEST of luck!Apr 3, 2012Link to this post

ShariNYCDifference Between 2 Croc 2's?What's the difference between the Croc 2 1 inch Infrared, and the Croc 2 1 inch titanium? They both say they are titanium and use infrared.Reply to this postFeb 19, 2011Link to this post

Shanelle G.Diff Between Croc 2 Infrared And Croc 2 Classic (titanium)The difference between the Croc 2 infrared and the croc 2 classic is that the infrared iron is giving you a high intensity of infrared rays that are directly penetrating to the cortex of your hair. The vents on the top plate are emitting those direct infrared rays. The croc 2 classic does have infrared heating technology but it is not at a greater intensity of the infrared iron because it is not executing the direct infrared rays to your hair.May 23, 2011Link to this post

ShanelleDifference Between Croc 1 And Croc 2the only difference between croc 1 and croc 2 is the plate size. croc 1 is a 1.5 inch plate and the croc 2 is a 1 inch plateMay 12, 2011Link to this post

JoyceCAUse A Heat Protectant; Don't Use A Heat Protectant!!!!!!I don't understand...the information on the page for this croc 2 infrared iron (1") says to section hair and spray it with heat protectant, but several people have reported their hair burning, and several people have said that the instructions that come with the flat iron specifically say NOT to use any products in your hair prior to flat ironing. What are you supposed to do? The description says to use heat protectant, the instructions says not to use any products in hair....folica, what is going on?????? Which is it, heat protectant or no heat protectant??????Reply to this postFeb 9, 2011Link to this post
