    Warranty?
Question - Do CHI straighteners come with a warranty? Mine just broke & I'd really like to avoid spending all that money on a new one if possible

      So, So.
I wouldn't say that this ceramic flat iron is a wet-to-dry iron, because i don't think alot of irons are, BUT, you should try one out because i have one right now, and i've had it for almost 2 years and it works GREAT! And it still does! It is a little expensive, but it's worth it. What I recommend is to just blow-dry your hair, so your hair is completely dried and do whatever with the iron. AVOID getting right out of the shower and turning on the iron and applying it to your hair because that could damage the iron and maybe your hair. Hope this helps! ~Lindsay

      No Way!
This is definitely NOT a wet to dry iron!!! Look for vents in the top of the iron for the steam to come out as a tell tale sign of wet to dry. Most irons are NOT wet to dry.

    To Much Power!!
I love the Chi flatirons as well, but they dont last as long, very disappointing. Although, I did send one in for repairs and it has been doing well. My second one, has been a problem. Everytime we plug it in no matter where, it seems to be getting to much power and just about electrocutes us. So we dont use it and don't no how to fix the problem. Anyone have this issue?

      Chi Flat Iron
I have 2 chi flat irons and they have lasted for at least 5 years. I have one in my travel bag that I only use when I go out of town, and the other I use daily. Very nice product. I have very thin, long hair but it does get very hot. I give Chi a 5* rating being 5 tops out all other products that I have used!

      Chi
I used to work at a hair salon and I have had my CHI for 7 years. I guess it depends on where you bought it but where I worked when the CHI flat irons first became popular we had a few people who had trouble with the power not working. They brought them back, we sent them back to the supply store and they replaced them no questions asked. As long as there was no visible damage and it wasn't years old we could put it back in the box (often the replacement CHI we gave the customers because they had thrown the old box away) and our sales rep would pick it up during their weekly visit, we never had to even deal directly with CHI. I love my CHI though it was one of the best investments I have made. I used to use hot tools and they damaged my thick wavy hair really bad. I have somewhat fragile hair from years of hilighting and heat styling but as soon as I started using the CHI my hair started to look and feel much better. My CHI still works as good today as it did when I first bought it and I use it almost everyday. Hope you can figure out the problem with your CHI! : )

No, I Do Not Have That Issue.
I actually don't have that issue.

But it depends on where you get the iron thatg makes it last longer or shorter.
It also depends on how the person is using the flat iron that makes it break or stay longer.
I have had mine for a year, and it still works amazing like the day i got it.
I also have thick, curly, wavy, and color treated hair.
Some people use this flat iron and it breaks after a month or so.
That's probably because they weren't using it right or didn't take very well care of it.

So basically, some people's last for years, and other people's last for only months.
So it's not the product that makes it break or not last very long,, it's the person!

      Loose Wiring?
The CHI Iron has loose wiring. I suggest to get it repaired, or buy a new one.
