    !!~waste Of Money~!!
Okay, I do admit this iron works really good. It heats up extremely fast and it keeps hair super super soft. But this is not a smart buy. So far, I've gone through 2 of these straighteners and they have both lasted me less than a year. I don't know why they stop working, but they do. Unless you got the money to be wasting $100 bucks on these every 6 months, I recommend you do NOT get them. You can find another one for a much lower price that will not die on you after 6 months of use.

    Italy Trouble
My daughter is in Italy for 5 weeks and her Chi Flat Iron shuts off with the converter. Can you offer any help and thank you. Does it have dual voltage?

      Same Thing Happened To Me.
I have a CHI Iron as well, and mine unexpectedly turned off after having it for a few months. If your daughter had her CHI Iron for over a year, it's about time to either get it fixed or buy a new one. The warranty (if you have it on the Iron) has expired by then, so you probably won't get shipped a new one for free if it stopped working. The manufacturer will be happy to fix your CHI Iron for $35, but you have to ship it in. You can get it fixed by Folica I believe, but I have no idea how it works. The CHI Iron's wiring is probably loose. This normally happens if it is always tangled, or you always rope it around the Iron itself.

    What's The Temp?
Hi, do you know what temp the iron gets? There isn't a temp gauge, just and on/off switch.

      Your Chi Iron
The iron get's hotter the longer you leave it there. The highest temperature for CHI Flat Irons is 365 degrees. When the light goes on and off, it means that it is ready for use-one tip: it isn't fully heated, so if you want your hair to be done faster, leave it out for at least 2-3 minutes after the LED light goes on and off.

    What's The Temp?
Hi, I have this flat iron and have been having problems with my hair being burnt on the ends, or at least that is what my stylist thinks is happening. She asked what temp I had my iron on and of course I don't know since this only has an on/off switch. Does anyone know how hot this gets??
