Amika Sultry Lace 1.25" Ceramic StylerRina O.NmLight On The AmikaI have had the amika straightener for 2 weeks now, it seems to be hot enough. I noticed that the light goes from red to green, back to red again as I am using it. Is this normal?Reply to this postJan 31, 2011Link to this post-
TayRe: Light On The AmikaYes this is totally normal. i also have an Amika and mine does that to. when it goes from red to green it means the heat has dropped and is no longer at the temperature that u set it at. This is not a bad thing. The heat should recover with in 10 seconds on an amika. Hope that helps!May 14, 2011Link to this post

Chelsea B.New York, New YorkLight On The Amikayes the light going from green to red is normal on the amika irons. the plates are 100% ceramic, which means they are a stone. stone's, unlike metal, loose heat when something is applied... such as hair. this causes the light to go from green to red. the amika has a power surge that increases the heat for a few seconds to get the plates back to the temperature you have set; causing the light to change back to green.

Amika 1.25" Ceramic StylerIleanna H.Is It Really Worth Buying It?Well, I've been reading that it works great but is it worth buying it? It's pretty expensive but it seems like it worth it. So please help me. :)Reply to this postAug 17, 2010Link to this post-
TayRe: Is It Really Worth Buying It?Yes it is totally worth it. i've had mine for 1 year and i totally love it. The results are the same since i first bought it. Although u may want to be very careful with it because if u drop it a plate could crack.May 14, 2011Link to this post

Amika 1.25" Ceramic StylerTiffany T.Queens NyAmika Or SeduI was debating between purchasing Sedu or Amika, I really don't know which one is better. From googling, I read that both are amazing and do minimum hair damage, Amika less damage than Sedu. However I also read Amika tends to stop working earlier but with a warranty it shouldn't be too much of an issue.Reply to this postJul 30, 2010Link to this post-
HannahI Own Both And I Think The Amika Is The BestI have had a sedu straightener for the past 3 years and I love it. It works great and feels really smooth on my hair. However, I really like that my amika does not damage my hair and makes it super soft. I bought the amika flat iron because I was tired of my hair having a slight burnt smell after using the sedu. The amika does not make my hair smell at all and it has been really great so far. I've only had it for about 2 months and I haven't had any problems with it.Jun 18, 2011Link to this post
