    Heating Up My Curling Iron
I used my iron once. It got hot. Turned on second time and won't get hot. Am I doing something wrong? The setting is turned up halfway, plugged into a good outlet and light comes on but won't heat up. Please help?!!!!!!

      Handle
The "black thing" is the iron's handle. It's not like the other curling iron's handles though. Rather than pushing the handle down and the clamp opening, this closes the clamp and holds the hair in. I prefer this iron more than the other one. Hope this helped!

    How Do I Use This??
i dont know how to operate it, is the wand suppose to be locked or loose? How do you keep a grip on your hair without it being spring loaded?

      Marcel ?
This iron is more for professionals who are trained to rotate and open and close the iron at the same time while winding. If you start at the base to curl then wind down and not burn the ends while you are trying to curl the scalp area

Re: How Do I Use This?
To use this iron, which is generally used by professionals, you would clamp on to hair and spiral upward holding the handle down with your fingers. It takes practice and a flick of the wrist. Don't worry you'll get it.

      Tips
Hi! Okay its kinda hard to explain but I own the 1inch and am about to buy the bigger two. I love this iron so much and use it daily!!

Now if its "locked" it basically doesnt the same thing as a regular curling iron..but in a more inconvenient way.

So the benefit of having it "unlocked" is not having a spring on the clamp so you dont get "dents" and more natural looking curls. My hairstylist has the same exact one so after her showing me how to use it I found it on folica.com. Professionals are taught to use this kind for more control, more natural look, and faster results. Once your good you can do it one handed!

So you want to take a section and start in the middle and roll the iron up once and pull down a little then roll up again and pull through a little..etc. This probably makes no sense so I reccomend watching a youtube video on marcel curling or asking a pro! But trust me..it really does work so much better so dont give up yet!
