    Is this a marcel iron? It seems like Hot Tools is the only company that makes them and I'm not a huge fan of Hot Tools. Anyway, I need a marcel iron

    Misleading Description
    The description of this product said it came in a 3/4" wand but when I tried to purchase one, nothing but a 1" was available. Why? Consequently, I didn't purchase it.

    Compatible To Us In Uk
    hi i am very keen to purchase this item, i just want to know how much is the postage charge to uk? and is it compatible to use in uk, has it got 3 pin? cause the last time i purchased a curling iron from yourself i just automatically thought u can use it in uk, so when it arrived it was 2pin use only, so it was was waste of money for me cause i couldn't use it and i was very gutted.

      No Adapters In Uk?
      Use an electrical adapter to plug into your wall outlet (3 prong) and plug the iron into the other side (which should accommodate 2 straight prongs). You can find a wide variety at any hardware store. Also make sure the voltage is the same. If the iron is 110 v. and you have 220v outlets, you'll have to use some kind of electric voltage regulator to use it without burning it up. Here in Saudi Arabia, most of the appliances being sold in the market have the same type of 3-prong outlets that you have in the UK and they are also 220v. But the electricity in our homes is almost always 110v (except for outlets near openings in the walls for air conditioners, which must be 220v), and the outlets are 3 prong (American type with two vertical prongs on top and one round prong in the middle on the bottom to function as a ground; or they are two round prongs (like you find in Taiwan) with no ground, so you get a little jolt any time you touch the stove, washer, and other major appliances (ouch!).

      Use An Electrical Adapter!
      You need to get an adapter. The best type is the one that has 3 prongs like you have in the UK on the front, and a variety of slide-out prong options on the back (e.g. two round prongs for ungrounded outlets in most of Asia, 2 straight prongs and 1 round prong for grounded 110 v outlets, etc., two prongs--one horizontal and one vertical--perhaps with one round prong below them for 220 v. outlets). You can buy them at any hardware store and many houseware stores, usually in the electrical or travel section.

      You can buy a strip of 4-8 adapters to plug into the wall, and then plug all kinds of appliances into the outlets on the strip. I'm using one right now for three different types of plugs on my appliances, all plugged into one electrical wall outlet.
