Keeping Wax Warmed During ApplicationUse an electric candle warmer to keep the wax warm after microwaving, just place a piece of aluminum foil between the warmer and the container of wax. This product is great!!Reply to this postJan 11, 2010Link to this post

Application TechniqueIf you are trying to pull a strip of wax off and it starts breaking off in little pieces, stop. Apply more wax and let it harden. I found that when I did this, the new wax hardened onto the old wax and it pulled off much easier. When the wax is applied too thin, it breaks off in little chunks, which is painful. If this happens, just put some more wax on and then proceed.Reply to this postJan 11, 2010Link to this post

Read The Instructionsi swear the people having problems have not read the instructions. read them twice, then proceed. also dont do home waxing, unless your have gotten it professionally done, anywhere, so you have an idea what it is suppose to look like. oh, and stop b*****ing about the pain. ripping the hair out of you genital area hurts--bad--no matter what you do. you have to be really commited to hairless perfection to do brazillian. do it to look good in a tiny bikini, not for your boyfriend. you will hate him when you are done, you wont hate the bikini. Good Luck!Reply to this postJan 11, 2010Link to this post

Cold HandsWhen I did my wax, I was freezing my a** off and so my hands were freezing cold. The wax gets brittle when it gets cold. A few patches I had to prepare myself and so while I was holding the wax preparing myself, it apparently got too cold and just broke into pieces every time I tried to pull... so just try to keep yourself warm! Also, (not so great of a tip) but I found that working on very small patches at a time is useful, and it hurts less... even though it takes a while.Reply to this postJan 11, 2010Link to this post

Drink Pain KillersHalf an hour before proceeding on with waxing which is to minimize the pain is drink some ibuprofen.Reply to this postJan 11, 2010Link to this post

Nancy D.ChicagoDon't Use Ibuprofen, Use Acetaminophen (tyienol)!I would NOT recommend ibuprofen, but would absolutely recommend two 500 mg tablets of acetaminophen (TyIenoI). The reason for this is that ibuprofen acts as a slight blood thinner and can cause you to bleed more during the procedure. Also, do not drink before the procedure as alcohol will have the same effect in that it will increase bleeding. Once I am done, however, and the holes from those extra-coarse hairs have stopped bleeding, I always celebrate with a nice glass of bubbly :-p !Sep 30, 2010Link to this post
