ErinRe: Short Dark HairIf this is just for facial hair get the Emjoi Light Caress corded epilator. Epilators are quick and easy for facial hair removal and don't require much skill. Just make sure to keep your hair pulled back in a ponytail and headband. Most epilators should work on fairly short dark hair. I have always used Braun epilators because I can buy them at Target but I want to upgrade and this brand has great reviews and specializes in epilators.Jun 14, 2012Link to this post

AishaThreadI don't know if you're familiar with threading, but it's the way to go with facial hair. All you need is some thread :) Just search "how to thread" on youtube and you'll get a bunch of hits, probably about shaping eyebrows, but threading can be used anywhere--for your upperlip, for your cheeks, even other places like your legs and arms (though I don't recommend, it would take too long! But I have friends who do it. Hey, it's free and effective). It takes some practice, but threading is probably the best way to go. You should never shave hairs on your face! They'll probably come out coarser! Threading is pretty painful initially, but I've been doing it for years and when I do my eyebrows, I don't even feel it now. I've done it on friends who have coarse hair, and it may cause you to bleed, but I've found that true with waxing extremely coarse hair as well. I hope threading helps you; good luck!May 12, 2012Link to this post

MattIt Worked For MeThe first time I used it, it was a little painful.Reply to this post
The removal lasted for about 5 weeks.
The second go round was much smoother and no pain at all.
Follow the directions for use and you will enjoy your Emjoi.Oct 15, 2010Link to this post
