Jen T.Jonesboro, ARTo Make The Color Last LongerI have been coloring my hair with Manic Panic for two years now. I recommend you have someone professionally bleach your hair to a very blonde and apply it for the first time. Saturate the bleached hair thoroughly and sit under a dryer for about 20 minutes then rinse, dry, and style as usual. To keep the color vibrant, I apply after every wash. To have less fading from washing, use lukewarm water to wash and cold to rinse. I reapply after every wash using a hair "mascara" type comb and only apply where needed to semi-dry hair then continue to dry with hair dryer. I don't rinse. I like to use a hair glossing oil to help protect my hair from dryer/straightener damage. It makes your hair look more vibrant and healthy.Reply to this postNov 6, 2011Link to this post

KendralynNYDepends...It all depends on how often you two wash your hair, there are pre color treatments you can get to help, also there are after color treatments you can get. Wash your hair as little as possible. When you do wash your hair, use products designed for color treated hair.Go to manic panics website and you will find everything you need to know about taking care of your colored hair. Ive been using manic panic since I was in fourth grade, I am now 21. Love it so much and I will be a dye hard forever, best of luck! I hope it works out great for you.Nov 25, 2012Link to this post

Gena C.San FranciscoLovely Hue. Will It Take Away My Natural Color?so i bought this and dyed the tip of one of my curls. i love the color, but i am i little surprised about how bright the color came out on my non-bleached, medium-brown hair. before dying more hair, i want to know if my hair will be the same color that it is naturally after the dye is all washed out, and if my hair will turn blond or something like that, and if it will be damaged at all. will my hair beReply to this postAug 29, 2010Link to this post

RachelZebulon, NCIt'll Go Back To Normal At Some Point Or Another. The dye itself doesn't really do any damage because there is no peroxide, ammonia, etc, although if you bleach your hair first, the bleach will be a bit damaging. Your hair will eventually fade back to it's normal color, though how long it takes depends on how well your hair holds color and what color dye you use. I once used pillarbox red on my natural medium brown hair (which turned it purple... still can't figure that one out). Almost all of the color faded after about a week, because my hair doesn't hold dye well and reds are especially difficult- but for a few months my hair did have a really slight coppery tint in bright light.Apr 29, 2011Link to this post

SavvyTallahassee, FloridaYou CAN, but it will probably take a few tries, since you really shouldnt leave bleach on your hair long enough to go blonde after dark blue. Pretty much whatever you do, youre going to have a weird blue tint.Feb 25, 2010Link to this post
