Terri M.Oregon City, Or.Need More EducationI have med brown hair. I am in the process of doing underlayering or pick-a-boo highlights. So I just finished with all the bleaching. It came out pretty good but still has some places where its still brassy and of course mostly light yello. I bought C.C. T10 Ivory lady. I wanted to know if I can put the toner on my whole head (brown and bleached areas), instead of trying to pull out all the bleached hair to do alone? What will happen to the brown hair?Reply to this postJan 4, 2011Link to this post

MToner With 20 Vol Will Liftif you use a toner it will ligthen with 20 vol up to 2 shades, and can turn the darker hair brassy.
You would be better to use a demi permanant toner it only deposits and wont lift the darker hair.May 31, 2011Link to this post -

AllyCanadaMost Likely You'd Be FineYou could put this all over your head if you use 10 vol or 20 vol. That way the developer won't lift the brown, it will only deposit colour all over your hair, so it will tone the bleached bits but won't show up on the brown. If you used 30 vol or 40 vol the developer would lift the colour from your brown hair, and then deposit the toner. Of course your hair wouldn't go all over blonde (if it were that easy everyone would be blonde haha) but it would lighten the brown. Good luckJan 20, 2011Link to this post
