    Wet Or Dry Hair?
So you apply the color to wet or dry hair? I'm a bit confused. Is it okay to wash your hair with just shampoo, let it dry, and then apply the color? help please!

      Dry Hair Application Is Best
You should apply this mixed with the appropriate developer on dry, unwashed hair for the best results. Do not wash your hair either, when rinsing out the color (after processing)...just just a conditioner and leave on for 2 minutes then wash out. Its ok to wash your hair after at least 24 hours, but better if you wait an extra day and just use conditioner through it for the first day after.

Will It Work With Bleached Hair?
I've been bleaching my hair for a few months and now I've decided I want to go with a more natural looking light blonde. When I tried using a hair dye from the drug store my hair came out looking like and ashy-blonde, almost gray looking color so I wound up bleaching it again. I don't know if the hair dye was really cheap or my hair just didn't hold the color or what. I was wondering if this hair dye would leave have the same results or can I trust that this will work?

How Do I Tone Blonde Highlights?
I recently put highlights in my hair. I would like to put a blonde over the top to tone and make shiney. Should I use semi permanant or permanant in a 10 volume? I tested a piece with semi permanant and it did't seem like it did much. Don't know if permanant will lift the other colors in between my highlights to much. Please help. Thankyou

Silly To Say Go To A Pro
Many people simply can not afford to go to a pro. If you are doing a root touch up or an all-over dye, many people are quite capable of it. It's possible to have to do a little trial and error to get what you want, but this is the same when going to the pros. If you do a little investigating, you can easily get instructions on how to do a good job. If you truly are nervous and can't follow directions and patiently make sure you follow through on wait times, then stick to the pros. I paid $295 to have my hair colored and highlighted about 3 months ago at a salon everyone raves about. Yes, I did like my color afterwards, the highlights were done very well, however, even though I use Redken color extend, my color was already fading by one to two weeks. I will not go back and pay that kind of money for just a root touch up. I bought the 7A blonde Satin color (1 ratio) with 20 volume developer (1.5 ratio) ----> 1 to 1.5 ratio of product...1TB color to 1.5 TB developer..and it covered my growth and gray perfectly, (except for highlights), it blends with the rest of my hair extremely well and is a "lifesaver" for those of us that can't afford to go to the salon every 3-5 weeks. Instructions say use 1-2 ratio color-developer. I found this ratio works for me best. and i will do this another few times before going back for the required highlights and color from the salon again. Or maybe I'll skip highlighting and just simply do an all-over dye. It really is very simple and this product works great and has beautiful shine and color. however be SURE to use a color extender, and keep your hair out of the sun as much as possible. If going to the beach use Redken leave in color guard. Good luck!

      Just Go To A Pro!
Yes, you need to mix the tube of color with the appropriate volume of developer. This is exactly why hair color should best be left for the professionals. Just applying the tube of color will not only be extremely messy, it will not do anything. It needs to be mixed with developer to activate. I could only recommend the appropriate volume developer if I knew which level your hair color is now, which color you would like it to be, and which shade you purchased. Using the incorrect volume can result in extreme hair damage. You may think you're saving money by coloring your own hair, but you will inevitably pay for it later.
