Yes it does work on African American hair. Black shade is typically the best result!

I see no shades which could be used with my light auburn hair. Any suggestions? Perhaps just not available on line?

    Mixing Colors?
My hair stylest has been applying MiN haircoloring for me for acouple of years and it works great. Unfortunatly, temporarily ina financial crunch, I cant afford the salon prices for this application. I was hoping to apply it at home myself. I'm confused as to what product to buy. She has told me that she mixes 6W and 6C (1/2 oz each) plus 1 oz proc.

How does this translate to the brown hair product kits I see available hereon line?

    Thank You-
    Steve

Based on this formula your stylist was formulating a 6N(eutral). You would want to use the Medium Brown kit.
