  • Black To All Natural!!
I ordered this product from USA ( i live in Australia) as i couldnt find it here. I dyed my hair natural darkest brown which came out black. It wasnt that i didnt like the black in my hair, i just didnt know you could only get it out by stripping or gradually highlighting your hair again and my hair grows quick quickly,so i began looking searching for an alternative. As neither stripping (apparently dries and ruins your hair) and bleaching (peroxide and my hair dont mix well!) were an option for me, i ordered 2 boxes of the one n only colour fix. I got 2 boxes as my hair is very long and extremely thick. I used the equal parts ( about 1/2 a bottle) of the colour reducer and conditioning catylyst to 2 parts shampoo. Working through layers and from root to tip, i quickly applied the mixture. I then rubbed it around like you would shampooing your hair to get an even coverage. I strand tested after 20 mins and noticed a slight change. In the end i left it in for 1 hour and rinsed it. My colour had gone to a dark reddish brown (naturally, i have a heap of red pigment in my hair.)Going from my regrowth from the black, i thought it still needed to be lightened. i then mixed equal parts of colour reducer and conditioning catylyst but didnt add the shampoo this time. After about 30 mins i rinsed it out and washed my hair as usual.I then dried my hair with a blowdryer so i could see the result. It is a light brown with red pigment through it. There is no black to be found!! I didnt use the processing lotion (thanks to a tip id already read on this site! :) and my hair is natural looking and feels soft and healthy. I did not dye my hair afterward as the whole point of using this product was so i didnt have to dye my hair again ( at least not permanately.) I just thought id share my story for those who are thinking about using the product! hope it works as well as it has for me! :)

  • What Worked For Me And What Didn't...
I have hair that used to be a light, mousy brown. It is also fine, thin AND long. I have colored it for years, a dark chocolate brown for the last three. It is at least 50% gray now, so maintenance was becoming a nightmare and I hope that eventually going to blond will help that out some. I decided to try this product not fixated on any one result other than lighter. I hoped I wouldnt have to color correct, but figured I would have to. First I tried the colorfix w/shampoo and it took out very little color at all. Then I tried the full strength treatment for ten minutes. It seemed to have helped but I made the mistake of using the final processing treatment. It made my hair crunchier. By the time I rinsed it out 3-5 minutes later, my hair was horribly tangled. I slowly worked that out with deep conditioner and it felt much better again. I lost a wad of hair, probably about a fifty cent piece size. Not awful, but not good. My hair was lighter by about two shades, but still about two shades from where I had hoped to have it. I decided to try another round without the processing step. I did it for 20 minutes with heat, this time I was careful to keep my hair straight and not tangle it. I took a lengthwise piece of plastic wrap to cover it and used heat from a blow dryer. I washed it with a tiny amount of chelating shampoo (White Rain extra body is supposed to be a good one for 69cents!) and did the deep conditioner again. I am so happy with the results. It is a dark strawberry blonde. I have lots of shades, high and low, that look natural. It will be no problem at all going with this look until I use another color on my hair and then I will probably go light golden blonde. Or try to, that is.

  • Results Are Excellent
some of you had bad result woth colorfix and some of you, like me, had great results. maybe those who had bad results were too much in a rush to read carefully and research how color remover works. Read the box and tips on the site and your color removal experience will go smoothly. I have a good few layers of store brought colors built up on my natural grey so I get two boxes of color fix from my local sallys and protein filler, the one you use to condishion hair before chemical damage. After hair is condishioned, read directions on the box of color fix. Get two boxes if hair is past shoulder,I applied the No#1 and No#2 only, even amounts, and quickly and wrapped hair with a plastic cap. Set timer for 20 mins and last few mins say 5 mins I used a dryer on a low setting, go rince hair for 5 mins, then shampoo. I now have very light golden honey ,or as they say strawberry bonde hair. Now go save your money and get color fix, research and condishion.

  • Color Remover Only
ive been reading the reviews and tips posted here at the site. as an employee of a beauty supply company that deals with the public, this is our first product is our first choice for color correction. ive personally used this product, my natural color is a light ash blonde, a level 8..i decided i wanted to go darker, and was not happy being a burnette. colorfix removed the light brown and restored my natural color, without damage to my fine hair. please be advised, that this product is not to be used to correct hair that has been over lightened...

  • Attention - Everyone
One N Only ColorFix Is NOT A BLEACH - It WILL NOT LIGHTEN Your Hair AND it WILL NOT RESTORE Your Previous/Original/Natural Hair Color. It IS A Hair Dye Remover Which Works By UNCOUPLING (Or Reducing)The DYE Molecules - Reversing The Process That Created The Color In The First Place (Joining Together Small Colorless Molecules Which CAN Penetrate The Cuticle Into Large Colored Molecules Which Are Too Large To Easily Leave The Hair) You Should Allow Several Shampoos To Elapse For The Broken Dye Molecules To Leave The Hair Before ReColoring. The Smell Should Be Removed By A Hot Oil Treatment Or A Deep Conditioning Treatment - Both Should Be Used With A Heating Cap.
