ShannonTXIs It Right For My Hair?Okay so I have bleached blonde caucasian hair that is dry and prone to breakage, pretty much severely damaged. I don't heat style it often bc I'm scared to damage it further, and I'm considering buying the ApHogee treatment, but is a protein treatment right for my hair type? And someone said these treatments "strip hair of moisture" so if my hair is already dry will it break it more? And one more question, what conditioner/moisturizer/balancing product should I use afterward? Sorry for all the questions, any help would be soooo great! :)Reply to this postJun 16, 2011Link to this post

AnnUse Before Of After A Perm?!Hi.. i have fine/thin hair that i color and am going to wave-perm soon. My hair breaks off alll the darn time and i lose TONS of it, so i'm sure this product will help a lot.Reply to this post
BUT I'm confused. Should i use this product before i get my wave perm done? Or after? Im worried that using it after will somehow damage the perm.. but idk if that would happen? Please let me know what the intended use is for this Regarding perms!!! Thanks!!!!Feb 15, 2011Link to this post-
Dannielle F.Dannifishel@me.comBefore, Definitely BeforeYou will want to do this before so that you are strengthening your hair before the perm chemicals break it down. I recommend a few days in between to avoid scalp irritation. In between the treatment and the perm, try to avoid over washing, heavy styling or applying unnecssary heat and use moisturizer as much as possoiblle. The reason you want to do it before, Is because it fills in the protein gaps in your hair, which will help it absorb and reach to the perm chemicals. If you still have breakage reapply the Aphogee treatment in four weeks.Mar 28, 2012Link to this post
