I have Natural Coiled Hair and use Aphogee's Two Step Protein Treatment every 4 to 6 weeks. I have never used Keratin, but I am curious. With the protein treatment it is not necessary to use any hot tools.

Is Aphogee Intensive Two Minute Keratin Reconstructor Good For My Hair?
Can you use ApHogee Intensive Two Minute Keratin Reconstructor on hair that has NOT had the keratin complex smoothing therapy ?? I have thick frizzy hair but not ready to go for the Keratin treatmen . Would ApHogee help my hair become more managable????

Keratin Doesn't Have To Come From Expensive Keratin Treatments.
Yes, you can definitely use Aphogee without the Keratin treatments. I am a believer in Aphogee and I've never had a Keratin treatment. I guess I want to see the long term effects of the Keratin, especially given that most of the treatments have formaldehyde in them. I have been using Aphogee for years and it seems to be the only way to keep my chemically treated hair healthy. Shampoos and conditioners just don't have the same effects that Aphogee treatments have for keeping my hair mangeable and to curb breakage/shedding. I will warn you: don't over do it with too much protein. Depending on how often you wash your hair, you should try to only use protein every other time you wash and condition. You have to balance protein with moisture to keep hair from getting too rigid.
