Certain Types Of Alcohols Are Used To MoisturerizeThe term alcohol is very generic label for a class of molecules that are quite varied in both their use and in their chemical make-up. Often those used in cosmetics or hair products, such as SD Alcohol 40-B that is in Biosilk, is used for its emulsify or moisturizing effects. So I dont think there is any fear that this product will do damage over time. check out this link to the FDA for a break down of different categories of "alcohol": http://www.cfsan.fda.gov/~dms/cos-227.htmlReply to this postJan 11, 2010Link to this post
