LucyChicago, ILYou should wash your hair and condition then try and let your hair air dry (time permitting) if not then blow dry your hair. Then... once your hair is completely dry section your hair. I have alot of hair so I section into 3 parts (kinda like a peace sign on my head)each section gets a dime size amount of silk infusion then I use the flat iron... DarianYup. Biosilk has achohol in it that actually dries out your hair so when you straighten the dry-ness doubles. Its so funny, I was in the store the other day and I was about to buy biosilk and was like "Well Ive heard a lot about Chi Silk Infusion, Ill try something new." Im truly glad I did. Amethyst D.Hollis, Maine.Great Heat Protectant!!!!Yes it is a very good heat protecant. when you pt it in your towel dried hair, it coats every single starn to create a shiney and sleak look. this coating gives less contact with the heat but still allows you to mangle with your style. hoe this was helpful :POct 5, 2010Link to this post

JessieUsing With Straigtening BalmsI currenlty straigthen my hair using Redken #12 (Ultra straight balm). It doesnt seem to offer much heat protection, but does a good job of straigtening my hair.
