DeborahLos Angeles, CADo I Need A Voltage Converter? The web page says I need a voltage converter (not just a plug adapter) when using this flat iron in Europe. Is this true? Voltage converters are quite heavy for their size but I dont mind packing one if it means my hairs going to look great. Please advise - Im leaving for London in 10 days and dont want to blow up my Metropolis iron because I didnt use a converter.Reply to this postJan 19, 2010Link to this post

Ann M F.Indianapolis, INYes A ConverterI go frequently to UK. I do not have this particular flat iron...but may purchase. When I go I always use a converter! There is a switch on my dual hairdryer & I slide this to the UK 220 dial on the appliance, then plug appliance in the converter, then in the Eng. wall plug. Never ever a problem.
PS the conveyer kits are available at Bed Bath & Beyond and include a variety of plugs including the 3 prong for Eng. The 3 prong is the only 1 you'll need to pack for England with the heavier converter plug.
Hope this helps!Feb 11, 2013Link to this post

Not Dual VoltagePlease note that this is NOT a dual-voltage product, as described. It is a travel iron but the model here is for US voltage (110V) only.Reply to this postJan 11, 2010Link to this post

Warranty Catch!Dear friends, if u r planning to buy this because of its 10 yrs warranty, please note that the warranty costs $15 if you need to replace it anytime in future. Means u need to enclose $15 for shipping charges for the repair/replacement of the iron each time u return it( of course, u take care of the package and delivery charges!!!) I think u can get a new iron for this 2 way shipping charges that u pay...Reply to this postJan 11, 2010Link to this post
