Getting Ready To Wax
In my experience it takes about 1.5 hours for a full can of wax to melt completely in the warmer. Make sure you allow enough time for it melt all the way: patience pays off since the wax is much easier to apply when its thoroughly melted. I find that I get better results if I exfoliate my legs the day before wax them, so I suggest investing a few dollars in a loofah if you dont already have one. I *definitely* recommend putting a covering of some kind down in the area youll be working in, since the wax is a pain to get off of surfaces (itll come off with residue remover or baby oil, but to me a little advance preparation is better than having to scrub wax off my tiles). I used to use newspaper but now I use an old sheet and pillowcase (or retired t-shirt): I spread the sheet under my chair, and the pillowcase on the countertop under the warmer (but only once Im ready to use it, not while its melting). When Im done I just roll them up for next time. I toss them after about 6 uses since I dont like to put stuff with wax in the washer.
