Like everyone else said, works well for early stage hair loss. You have to be careful with the nozzles, I ordered 4 and two broke. The remover works well. I have not used any products besides prothik but I am going to switch to something else after what I have now is used up because I feel like every time I apply it I get dumber. Has anyone else experienced a sensation of heat or pressure after applying prothik?

The bottle's spray top came off at first use. It clogs alot!! The fumes are not bearable. On the other hand, it does fill in the empty spots, but after a few hours, even with hair spray, it starts to come off, and looks obvious!

i have used this several times and always been happy, but this purchase lacks quality, the spray keeps getting clogged and the colors are not coming out right, seems like there is not pigment in the spray

This product is great if you use it in moderation. I suggest spraying lightly one or two times and then following up with a good hairspray or citrishine. Definitely go one with a slightly darker color for good effect. If you're darker blonde go with medium brown. You'll use less and get a better effect. It does not run in rain or when you sweat during exercise. Great product!

If you have serious hairloss, don't bother, this stuff (like all spray-on thickeners) is too messy and looks fake on big bald patches. Wear a wig instead, if that's the case.
But if what you have is some thinning at the top, you know, enough so the light reflects off your scalp in an unflattering way, then this stuff ROCKS. I lift the hair and use just a small spritz and presto, my hair looks thick and full again and I can go off to meet that big client without worries.
Some practice is in order - try it on a weekend when you can wash your hair if you use too much at first. Also, don't scratch your head, you'll get the fibers under your fingernails.
I use ProTHIK the same way I use other things like makeup, a good pushup bra, and tummy control pantyhose - not to disguise huge problems, but to enhance what I have.
As always, your mileage may vary :)

After reading numerous other reviews and tips thought I'd share my thoughts. First this product is great, but it is only as good as what you are willing to make it. Yep it's messy too. For me I have found that slightly moist is the best way to apply, so I towel my hair thoroughly then apply 2-3 light applications. I also jump into the shower stall to apply which contains the overspray and then merely spot in front of the mirror. With your hair slightly moist it is far more easy to comb and the spray covers better. Once styled then finish off with the blow dryer and use a high quality hair spray. I also use a trash towel to cover the areas I don't want overspray which only allows the Prothik to the areas that I want. Extra time to perform ALL this extra work....a couple of minutes, but worth every second.

Very good coverage. Stays put when wet. Must ensure proper scrupping of scalp to remove product completely. I wish it was less sticky feeling.

Don't stress any longer! This product is the best thing for thinning hair. You can't notice it at all. I will never feel a lack of confidence again...

I would rate this product higher if the mist doesn't
cause my whole room covered with the colored particles.
Recently (about a year), one problem started happening that if I pushed the button lightly, the color on my hair turned "silver" so I had to spray twice to cover that up.
Otherwise, this product served the purpose.

Wish I had found this product years ago. I have very fine hair and it helps add thickness and hides those spots that used to drive me crazy.

I have a ton of hair but one day a big patch fell out....and this stuff makes it not even noticable when it's growing back. If you have any hair at all it fills it in and makes it look thicker....LIFESAVER!! You spray it on in 1 second!!

I love it. I don't have to worry about my scalp showing anymore!!! As a woman it's a terrible thing to have this kind of problem, but now I don't have to worry anymore. I am a customer for life.

I've used Prothik for 5 years and would go crazy without. I use it primarily on the crown of my head, where I've been slowly thinning since about the age of 25. It covers the scalp nicely and no one has ever noticed (at least they havent told me if they have). As long as you have some fuzz or some thin hairs for it to cling to, it will work.
One bit of warning: As others have noted, there is a large color difference between light brown and medium brown. I would like to see Prothik offer a color inbetween. Not having that choice, I've found it's best to err on the "darker" side or wash in some Just for Men to color your hair a little darker to match.
Also, Prothik is MUCH better than the gooey product offered by Fullmore.
Be prepared to get messy!

This was the first time I've purchased ProThik and as a user of Dermatch, was looking for a speedier alternative to my hair routine. While ProThik is fast-applying and easy to do, it's EXTREMELY messy. I had read the customer reviews prior to purchasing, but really think it's much messier than noted. The spray fills the air (good ventilation is a must) and once it has a chance to dry and settle onto your scalp, begins to flake off (which in my experience, is normal for most of these cover-up products). It gets everywhere though; hands, fingers, clothes - and doesn't come off as easily as one customer stated. I had to use a lot of soap and a scrubber brush to get it off my hands. I AM happy with the product overall, despite the mess - since it does a nice job covering up, and it feels lighter than Dermatch on my hair. For the price, it's right on.

After washing my hair, I towel dry it, apply a small amount of hair gel, apray a couple of very lite applications of the proThink, add another bit of gel and then comb into place. I then dry my hair, apply another small another of hair gel to add shine and spray with a good hair spray (Bed Head brand). I ordered the medium brown, which is too dark for my hair. I have had to color my hair a little darker than usual. Next order, I'll select the light brown. The medium brown is more dark brown, so I was a little disappointed in the color. Over all, it's the best I've used. I apply it outside, as the spray makes a mess of the bathroom.

1 - I have tried them all, everyone of them and this is the best. But you only get the best results by following my method.
First - I start with a light coat of DermMatch over the scalp.
2 - I take a damp cloth with a touch of shampoo and clean off just the hairline whipe again with clean water to remove shampoo. Then with a clean dermatch applicator, lightly blend forward into the hairline.
3 - Spray a light coat of ProThick onto the scalp, never directly onto the hairline. Spray from the back forward.
4 - after a minute, brush through hair thourougly with a brush, do not be afraid to mess up your hair. It is more important at this stage to brush it in all directions to blend the ProThick
5 - Repeat 4 until satisfied with coverage. ALWAYS USE LIGHT APPLICATIONS It covers more then you think
6 - Buy a spray bottle that has a mist spray and lightly spray water to hair and style as you wish. Once hair is dry, the results should be good.
7 - Usa a light hairspray
No I do not work for ProThick and yes the stuff is messy and requires cleaning your bathroom regularly.
I never apply it clothed. I waite until I am done before putting on a shirt. I always have a bottle of alcohole and wash cloth that I use to clean the hairline, my neck, ears and always have a pore cleanser to clean my face after application. Sometimes before going out I will take another shower after application just to wash the back of my neck and face. but not wet my hair again.
This might seem like a long process, but it isn't at all once you get the hang of it.
