I am caucasian and have wavy to curly hair which is also quite course. This product was the easiest curl remover I've ever tried, and it relaxed my hair without damage. In fact, my hair feels better than it did before I used it. People noticed immediately and said they're not sure what I did, but my hair looks much better then it did last week. I'm glad I bought 3 applications. Will be ordering again.

Reading the reviews it sounded like this product would drastically reduce curl. My hair is very thick and curly and this product didnt do too much. It felt lighter and a little thinner which means the curl probably relaxed a little but it certainly was still a effort to blow dry it straight and same amount of tiem for styling as prior to using this.
This product didn't work for me.

My sister and I used this product almost a month ago. We both have thick hair, but mine is long and curly and hers is short and wavy. We straightened our hair the same night and followed the instructions exactly. The product didn't work for either of us. My hair has more curl than ever and is very dry now.

Unfortunately, this product did not work for me. I have really wavy(not quite curly) hair and followed instructions very closely and probably left the product on for the maximum time and didn't straighten my hair. Also, they recommend not saving the product if it's already been opened and this seemed a bit of a waste even though other users thought could be repeated in 2 weeks or so, you have to buy more product. all in all, relatively inexpensive and probably harmless so worth a shot if you want to see if it works on your hair. Who knows, it might work if your hair is less resistant than mine.

Alright, I used to have my hair in dreadlocks because it was so curly. To be exact I have caucasian hair, that is wavy/curly, so much that'll it'll form ringlets if I let it air dry. Well, that was until tried this stuff. About a week after I unknotted my dreads (took a long time), I put on ONO Curl Remover for the maximum 20 minutes and have bone straight hair, except on a few strands in front, where I most likely didn't comb it straight enough there. Point being, I've hated dealing with the fluffy mess of curly/wavy hair and the unmanageable nature of it. This stuff worked real good, smells like crap, but is real cheap - I got a kit for 6 bucks. I can't gaurantee it'll work for any hair type, but, mine is curly enough to prove that this should work for a lot of types. The stuff seems somewhat more mild than the relaxers I had used in the past and I'd imagine you could leave this stuff on for longer than 20 minutes imposed maximum if that didn't do it for you. You can wipe a strand and test at any moment. It also lightens up your hair a little bit. Highly reccomended.

i had a perm for a week and i hated it. so after reading reviews with people who had the exact same problem as me, i went for it. it took pretty long for it to be shipped though. after rinsing, my hair was straight and back to its old self. i was SO relieved and glad that it actually worked. just keep combing it through while it's processing and it'll grow straight eventually. my hair was shiny while it was wet but i couldn't really tell afterwards. but it gave me a smooth, straight look. now i don't ever have to straighten it again! (maybe) =) i highly recommend it!
Finally some help, what a relief!!

My hair grows in straight and about two months ago I got a perm. At the time I was unsure but went ahead and got the perm for a new look. I wanted the bigger curls and thought it would look good. After the perm, I was completely disappointed. I lived with it but after a week I had had enough. My hairdresser said it would damage my hair too much to use a straightener so I did not do anything. I hated my hair so much I cut off five inches (my hair was pretty long) and tried to straighten it with a straightening iron and blow dryer. Not only did this take way to long but it looked fried after it was done. Then about a week ago I came across Folica. com and read the reviews, finally got the nerve and ordered ONO for normal hair despite what the hairdresser had told me. THIS STUFF WORKS GREAT. My hair is back the way it was (minus five inches that my husband cut off for me before I found ONO) and I love it. Not only is it straight but it actually looks healthy. It is not too dry or frizzy at all. My only complaint now is that I waited so long to look for ONO.
Works pretty good!

I'm fairly happy with the results of this product. It does what it says -- it does not make hair stick straight, but helps a lot with loosening curls. Easy to use -- my 14 y.o. applied it for me! Overall, I like it and would use it again.
It didn't do much.

If you have curly hair, deal with it, but don't use a relaxer. I have used expensive ones and cheap ones, they just don't work. There you have it, save your money and buy products for curly hair, just not relaxers.
Great product, reasonable price!

I used to use STTM, but had a hard time getting shipments on time, so I switched to this brand. I LOVE IT! It is simple to use, and does exactly what it says it will do. I am caucasian with extrememly tight curly, kinky hair. It has plagued me all of my life. This relaxer makes it more manageable and helps take out the frizz. I would definitely recommend trying it.

I have REALLY curly hair and I have tried every product there is with no satisfaction, until now! I received my order yesterday, did a pre-test, then all my hair. Results are awesome. My hair looks like it is straight naturally, not that dry , over processed look. I also have color treated hair, and this product did nothing to hurt the color. My hair is smooth and soft. Product has little to no smell and very easy to use. Love it!!
Great product! :D

I have wavy, usually dry and frizzy hair (even though I'm Asian), and I'm going to a trip on July 27th for my fiance's family reunion and to Mall Of America. I usually flat-iron my hair everyday to get it pinstraight which I really love. I don't want to do that every single day of our first vacation together alone.
So I picked up this product from Sally's beauty shop. I was a bit nervous when I decided to do the process. I even had a stomachache from being so nervous! (My hair is my crown and glory after all.) It made a few ends of my bangs icky looking, so I just snipped them off gently. I needed to trim them anyway.
If you're wanting to try this product, don't wash your hair for three days. When it's time to use the product, before processing, shampoo and CONDITION YOUR HAIR REAAAALLY GOOD for 10 minutes ESPECIALLY if you flat-iron or dye/bleach it. Watch how long it takes you to put it on because if you're not careful, you'll damage your hair. I recommend that Ion Extra Hair Treatment stuff after neutralization. If your hair still looks dry and thirsty, use Shine Repair Extreme since you can't really do anything for two-three days with your hair being that brittle.
I would try this product again once my hair has restored its condition once again. :D

I am totally amazed at this product - I have very naturally curly, mostly frizzy hair. I was very skeptical but thought for the price, I'd give it a try. It is unbelievable. I never believed it would work this well - not only did it take out the curl but it took out the frizziness as well. I am extremely pleased with the result and would recommend it to anybody.
Genious!!!!!

After getting my hair permed, this was my only hope....and it worked. It didn't get rid of the curl all the way, but with a little blow drying I'm back to being able to run my fingers trough my hair!

..with genuinely curly hair, like mine this product will lightly loosen the curl if left on for a total of 15 min. If i wanted more straightening I should have left each section on for 15 minutes instead of entire head because it was unevenly straightened which i fixed the next day with no damage to my hair WHATSOEVER.
I wasnt thrillllled with the product but it DID loosen the curl some and it didnt danage my hair and i have highlights. For the price and knowing it wont damage your hair its worth a try.
Even better the second time....

I used ONO a few years ago with pretty good results...but I tried it again and this time I was braver. I left it on a few minutes longer...I am THRILLED! Straight, silky, shiny...and a minimal amount of damage. I went back to the store and stocked up! This product is just as good (if not better) than professional Thermal Reconditioning.
MY ADVICE: use a leave in conditioner on any damaged areas before applying the product AND don't be timid...leave it on the recommended time
Great Results

About two weeks prior to using ONO Curl Remover, I got a perm that ended in a horrible poodle-like style. After trying to "get used to it", I decided to try this- after all, it couldn't make it any worse, right?
I'm so glad I did, because the results are fantastic- my hair is straight but is smooth and has body. This is great, because my hair has bleached streaks in it, and I was afraid that this ma have been too damaging. But no! I'm left with full, smooth, STRAIGHT! hair that still definately has some movement. For the price of this item, it's definately worth a try.
bye bye perm

Immediately after using One 'n Only I wondered if I had made the right decision. After a couple washes though, my hair both looked and felt great (maybe it just had to recover?). I have fine, curly-wavy hair and this product was able to "pull-out" the tigher curls, leaving me with pretty wavy hair. I still use mousse and scrunch/ twirl my hair though because it did not get rid of the frizz and definitely should not be marketed as a way to eliminate frizz. I would use this again.
