I dyed my hair a natural real black from Just from men. It turned my hair too dark. How can I get my natural colr back or at least lighten it? Please help Question posted by Charles Curry Mon Nov 21 2005 Submit your answer | Reply by Carrie

I would definitely say it would lighten it. Have your read the reviews? I used it and it took the dark black tones right out.
Have a great day!!
Carrie =) | natural light blonde to reddish brown
I'm a natural very light (almost platinum) blonde with natural highlights. In the past three days I had my hair professionally dyed twice - a natural very red head and then a darker reddish brown. What was I thinking? It looks fine, but I love my natural hair and want it back asap. Will this work in my situation? Any other recommendations to make the color fade faster? Please help! Do you have to re-color after using the stipping solutions or can you leave it like it is? I just want to restore my "natural color" and don't want to color any more, is this the product to use? Also, does it work on semi-permanant hair color? Lastly, does it work on dyes that are lighter than your natural hair color? Thanx:) Question posted by Rachelle Mon Oct 31 2005 Submit your answer Half natural and half colored
My hair is naturally dark brown. I used to dye my hair light golden brown. I got tired of dying my hair and months ago I decided to dye it black. It has grown a while and now I have half of my hair natural and half dyed hair. I don't know where the dyed hair begins cause the color of the dyed and my own is so similar. I want to change the color of my hair. What should I do? Should I colored it again black so that It could be even when I used a color remover? Can I use colorfix on my natural hair and would it change? Question posted by Jeanette Sun Oct 23 2005 Submit your answer Re-coloring after stipping

Well, I too used a semi-permanent supposable wash-out in 28 shampoos Medium Ash Brown by Natural Instincts. The only thing that worked for me was Hydrogen Peroxide 3%. It lifted the dark color a couple shades lighter. I left it on for 20 minutes.
I bought uncolor 1st but it did not do a thing.

Hey, I had bleach blonde hair for a good 6 years when I wanted to go chocolate brown. well that turned out BLACK!! I went with it for a while, it was fun.. but got sick of it! I, too, used Natural Instincts wash out color.. and guess what.. this past weekend after 9 months of black hair without fading one bit.. I've bleached my hair twice and used this color fix twice. I've got it down to half bleach white and half orange (due to highlights in there) and am having my husband get one last box of Color fix to put on it before dying it an all over blonde. Sure my hair is fried- but I'd rather it be fried and let it grow out the color I want, then STILL have the color I hate, and have to let it grow out. My advice is STRAND TEST AND CONDITION CONDITION CONDITION! It'll all work out! Just be patient. | will it remove a cellophane
My hair is naturally red and I had a cellophane put in (bronze). Yeck, the color turned darker brown and I hate it. My question is I want to go back to my natural red color. If I use colorfix will it put my hair back to the color it was without me having to dye it. I WANT MY NATURALLY COLOR BACK. I can not wait 6-8 weeks for the cellophane to rinse out. As a long-time user of ColorFix, thought I might offer some help:
1. It will NOT restore your natural hair color. You will likely wind up with something closer to orangey-red.
2. It STINKS. Smells like rotten eggs.
3. After you use it, you will need to re-dye your hair unless you like the orangey color. Wait a day or two and use something that is a few shades lighter than what you want to end up with. Your hair will be more porous after using ColorFix and will grab color quickly.
4. Getting rid of black is hard, but ColorFix will help. It should lighten it at least to a dark/med brown. If you want to go blonde, you will eventually have to bleach.
Hope this was helpful! | Black Hair dye
My natrual hair is brown and I dyed my hair a really dark black about 4 months ago and now i want to go blonde. I attempted yesterday using the bleach at 20 but it still didnt work because the black was so strong will the color fix remove the black color even though its so strong? Also, will it damage my hair in the process? Question posted by Maria Thu Sep 01 2005 Submit your answer | Reply by sara

I found that colorfix is not that good at removing black permanent hair dye! I mean it does remove it slightly but it will still seem dark, Ive learned the important thing to do is use colorfix to the best of its ability wait a day or two and bleach it (to an orange for red, a yellow for blonder shades (NOT WHITE IT WILL FALL OUT AT THAT POINT). Its the only solution. Though if your hair is long and u dont want to cut it, I say dye it black again and stick with it. Thats the only way to save your hair after dying in black, make it permanent ... it wont ever freaking come out! I cut all my hair off, ok and I still cant get the black out! I mean its short like a freaking boy! To the ladies and gents, if you must dye your hair black, use natural instincts semi perm or some other one, I find colorfix removes these better!!!! GO FIGURE!
Sorry to all the other black hair dyers out there. PEACE.

I have no idea what my natural color is - I believe its a medium flat brown with no highlights. My hair is shoulder length and halfway down it has reddish highlights that I hate I guess from years of coloring and buildup. I want to lighten my hair but don't want to bleach it. Does any one know if using this will take all this crappy color out of my hair, so maybe I can lighten it afterwards? Does this just take out haircolor or does it lighten your own hair. I am confused. I want to be a very light sandy brown. What should I do? My hair has a tendency to pick up red tones and I despise them. Hi, remember color market users!! color will not lift color, meaning..if you put a color, undesired results.. don't just go back to drugstore and buy another color to try to get rid of the ugly one you had before. instead, just go to the professional hair colorist to have it fixed. Even if you have to spend more money than you thought. now a days..there are many options in how to remove any type of hair color from your hair. sometimes, Powder bleach with hydrogen peroxide is not really necessary..but only the professional licensed hairStylist know how to remove unwanted color..it's a long process though! remember "together a passion for hair" beautiful shining looking hair. live with it. |
