Help!
I had bleach blonde hair and then had it lowlighted with a dark brown my hair came out ashy green then I dyed my whole head dark brown and it came out red at the roots and super dark down towards the bottom. Will Colorfix work for me and what will it do to my hair color after? I just want to be able to put a lighter shade of brown on my hair so it's not red or so dark to grow it out. Thanks in Advance!

Using on semi-permanent dye which hasn't come out
I've dyed my hair with semi-permanent red coloured dye, which is supposed to last around 24 washes but the red colour is still in my hair after 6+ months with me washing it every day. I've used the exact same brand of dye but in a darker blue/black colour and that washed out completely after about 3/4 weeks... I was wondering if Colorfix is likely to help get rid of some of the red seeing as this semi-permanent shade has obviously had some kind of permanent effect... even though I've read somewhere that this isn't for removing semi-permanent dyes. Should I try it?Any replies, suggestions or info would be much appreciated

Henna romoval?
Does colorfix work on Henna treated hair? How do you get it out if you want to chemically dye your hair?

YES!! I had many Henna treatments layered on my hair, maybe 5. This was natural Henna, NOT a mix that contains mineral salts. I used the Colorfix twice, a few days apart - but did NOT USE the peroxide. Threw the whole bottle of peroxide away, per instructions from the www.hennaforhair.com site's discussion board. Removed 85% of the henna, did not damage my hair ... but smells - a very heady, musky, almost patchouli smell.

Grey Hair
I wanted to lighten my mixed grey hair (50% brown/black, 50% grey) so, I used a med brown color. Now, after 2 years colorings, the grey in my hair brown is reddish blond with green undertones. I want to return to my mixed grey hair color. Will Colorfix restore my mixed grey hair or will it make my reedish blond color even lighter?

Will Colorfix remove Clairol Natural Black?
Yesterday, I colored my hair for the first time with Clairol Men's Choice Natural Black, in order to remove gray hair that was about 50% of my total hair. A Clairol online rep. had recommended "Dark Brown", but since I had black hair and wanted it all black, I chose the Black instead. I know it was dumb, but I neglected to test a strand first, or have my wife present. So I left it on for about 8 minutes, and I was horrified when I looked in the mirror. It looks like something theatrical, it's so freakishly black. I had to go through a McDonald's drive-through since I figured I'd be laughed at if I went inside. I just tried some yellow Jello mix and balsamic vinegar to no avail. The Clairol guy said it lasts for 28 shampoos. Does that mean if I wash my hair all day long, it'll rinse out, or should I try Colorfix? Thanks for any help.

ColorFix may not remove temporary dye, but you could try it with a strand test. I assume that your hair is short, so you should be able to trim it fairly soon.

ColorFix SHOULD Remove This Type Of Color. FOLLOW THE DIRECTIONS CAREFULLY AND COMPLETELY. If The After Odor Is A Problem. Get CLAIROL® METALEX™ From The Same Supply House As The ColorFix. One Good Treatment(W/Heat) Should Remove It.-Good Luck!

I just used ColorFix last night to try and remove my black hair dye which was suppose to be dark brown. It def. didn't work...after you put in step 1 and 2...wash that out and put on the conditioner my hair went right back to the jet black it was. I am going back tonight to get my money back. It didn't work for me and I followed all the instructions very well.

Help.. ?
My hair is naturally a darkish brown, and i died it a couple of times a really really dark brown, and after a while eventually the colour will go lighter and lighter till it turns a ginger/bronze colour and so which leads to me re-dying it again, the thing is everytime i dye my hair it turns out all un-even around my head and i was wondering if colour fix will take out this permanent colour completely so im left with my natural colour, and dont have to worry about dying it again or washing my hair leaving the colour to go lighter each time the shampoo and conditioner fades away the colour. My hair is thin enough and grows really slowly and it would take years and years to grow out, and i dont want to keep re-dying it because my hair falls out enough anyways. ?

SORRY, ColorFix WILL NOT RESTORE Your Natural Color. It Sounds Like The Coloring Products You've Already Used Have Changed/Removed Your Natural Hair Color And Your Hair is Becoming Too Porous To Hold Color. Your Best Bet Is To Go To A Professional. If You Don't Want To Do That I Would Suggest A No Ammonia No Peroxide Color Like Loving Care® By Clairol. The Color Will Still Wash Out-But, It Is VERY Gentle And Will Condition Your Hair Instead Of Damaging It. So You Can Use It As Often As You Wish AND It Will Not Change The Color Of The New Hair Growing In- So When Your Hair Grows Out Enough You Can Stop Using It.

colorfix smell won't go away
chemical smell won't go away!!I used colorfix and my hair still stinks to high heaven! I shampooed and conditioned immediately following the process, and I've been washing my hair EVERYDAY since and it still STINKS!!! Is there any at home remedy or specific product that I could use to get this smell out? I had expected the stink for a day or so, but I feel it has been so long now...I don't know what to do.

The first time I used it the STINK lasted for 9 days, especially when wet. The second time, I squeezed lemon juice directly onto my hair in the shower and then rinsed it off. The smell went away faster, but not completely. On a positive note, a little perfume sprayed on my hair did mask the odor.

YES! The STINK is horrendous! It will not go away! I guess I have to try the lemon juice thing! The only thing I can think of that wouyld reduce the smell is Tomato Juice because it works when you get sprayed by a skunk. Ha! The only problem with that is it may turn your hair red. Other than that, I used the #1 and #2. I skipped the Processing lotion because of all the tips on the previous customer reviews. I had originally used a hair color as a slight highlight by pulling hair through a cap and then applying the hair dye. After I used the Colorfix I noticed it DID lighten my unprocessed hair. It's not a bad color now but the smell is making me ill! Yuk!

how can i lighten my hair without chemical reaction
5 months ago I dyed my hair black and a month later I used Color Fix to take the black out and it worked my hair is now brown but I went to a Salon to get blonde highlights in my hair and in the process of her doing foils my head began to burn; chemical reaction. So half my hair is highlighted and the rest couldnt be finished because the foils were smoking. She says due to Color Fix I cant lighten my hair. I want to lighten my hair is there anything I can do to take it out or use or any advice to help me achieve the color I want?
