i dyed my hair an auburn brown about a month ago. it was reddish for a while, but now it's just a nasty brown that's too dark, with spots, especially in the front and on the ends, that are nearly black. i've used haircolor remover before, and on the boxes for those hair color removers, it says that hair is ready to recolor immediately. well, i wanted to use the colorfix, and then dye my hair a dark cool blonde color. do you think it will work? should i use the full color removal, or should i mix with shampoo? will it matter when i try to redye my hair? can i even redye my hair that same day? YES!! I dyed my hair RED and I'm naturally dishwater blonde. Color Fix took the dye right out... down to a honey blonde. I washed my hair and super conditioned it then dryed it before applying a new color. It worked.. it worked worked worked... and boy was I relieved!! | Permanent Color too dark
I went to my hair dresser yesterday and asked for her that my hair was too light. Could she just add a little more brown color. She uses Schwarzkopf permanent hair color. I am not sure of the mix portions. But it came out too dark. I have grey and have been color treating for at least 2 years with permenent color to cover the grey. My real color is black.I just want to lighten it just a tiny little bit. Could you advise me if this will work. I can not go to work like this tomorrow.Thank-you Question posted by Vicki Mireles Sun Aug 26 2007 Submit your answer | Reply by Anna

Color Fix worked for me! I used a permanent deep red dye on dishwater blonde hair. The color fix took that red out right before my very eye's... I was so amazed!! If you don't like the results you are left with then you can easily dye over it. | Want to go natural again!
I have dyed my hair for a couple of years. I don't want to do it anymore. Can colorfix take out the dye and leave my natural color? I see a lot of people dye their hair again, I don't intend to. Will it work for me? Question posted by Genna Wed Jun 13 2007 Submit your answer | Reply by Anna

I'm curious... have you tried color fix yet?
I was also apprehensive to try something that seemed to good to be true. My initial thought was... why in the heck don't professional salons use this product or even act like they know about this product?
I finally decided to try it... figuring what do I have to lose?
It worked... it's magic... it's wonderful... AMAZING!!
My salon told me... up to $600 with bi-weekly visits for upwards to 6 months before finally being able to chop off my hair and start over!!
HA HA HA.. I fixed my hair for only $13.99!
Oh.. and I didn't put a color over it... I dyed dishwater blonde hair DEEP red... Color Fix turned my hair a golden honey blonde.. I LOVE IT!! It looks like I had this color done professionally! | Can I do all my hair if there's no color on the roots?
Hi, I bought this product but am confused. I haven't colored my hair for about 2 1/2 months and have no color on my roots. The color i have is reddish brown & I want to go back to being blonde. Is it ok to get this on my new growth? Question posted by Liz Tue Jun 12 2007 Submit your answer | Reply by Leah

Yes!! It only removes permanent dyes.. | get red out then use ash color?
I have a medium brown color hair. I wanted to dye it a darker richer color brown. Went to a salon to have it colored again turned a diffferent red - orange tint with brown. I hate it! I used colorfix. It turned crazy orange color. So i skipped step 3. and colored it a med brown ASH color. It still has a little orange and red but the ash pulled a wierd brown color and dark. Was wondering if i should use colorfix again. Using steps 1 & 2. And then should I color just a light brown color so i do not have this wierd ash color. Everytime i use ash i use the ash to try and get out the red tones but it still seems to pull red tones. It never breaks the red. I thought the ash would help brake the orande and red color. Will colorfix work? I want to know all the answers before trying it and having to deal with an more red and orange tones. I just would like brown hair! PLEASE HELP!!! Brandy,
Color correction cannot be obtained thru the "net" nor a product that needs color chemistry #101 to understand.
1. You should have gone back to the colorist and had her/him deepen the color.. using more base.. then you wouldn't be on this site.
2.Hair Professionals follow MANUFACTURER guidelines.. problem was and is.. you are out of your comfort zone in correcting your color.
3. Your color did not need to be removed. It needed to have more depth, base to achieve a deeper, richer brown.
4. Stop playing Hair colorist and you may have hair left at the end of the year.. | Remove Blonde?
A stylist bleached my entire head blonde & I want my natural brown hair back. Will Colorfix work to remove the bad bleach and return my locks to the auburn I was born with? Please say YES! Question posted by rae Sun May 20 2007 Submit your answer | Reply by Karina

OK, I'm by no means an expert, but I would assume that the answer is no. The bleach hasn't covered your natural hair colour, it has removed it. Bleach can't be removed since there's no other colour underneath it. You will probably need to have you hair recoloured by a professional colourist because using home hair dye on top of bleached hair can be disastrous. The good news is that you will be able to get an artificial hair colour that's very close or similar to your natural hair colour. Hope this helps! | | Reply by Kelly

Colorfix will absolutely not make your hair auburn again. Colorfix only removes dye. Bleach isn't a dye. Colorfix can't put back the color that you bleached out. | bleached, henna and permanent dyed hair
My hair is an auburn colour. Some of the hair has been previously bleached, then had henna on it (to darken it) and then about 9 months worth of permanent hair dye on top of this (not been heannad since). Anyone had similar experience, know what likely results will be, advice etc?? Will it end up being too multi-coloured?Many thanks Question posted by Jenean Fri May 18 2007 Submit your answer help!
my natural color is dark brown, I then lighten it with a store brought dye to an orangy brown. I didn't like how orange it looked, so I dye my hair back to a dark brown only to get black!!!can someone tell me if one n' only colorfix will give me back my natural color? or close to it? thank you before hand for those who took the time to answer my question. I used some zap product in my hair to get all the color out, but it did not work all the way and now I'm about to use color fix. Is it safe to dye over top the color fix product? Question posted by Deanna Mon Mar 19 2007 Submit your answer will it remove the red?
Ok, so I have a medium brown color hair. I wanted to dye it a darker richer color brown. After dyeing it, my hair had very noticable red in it. I went back to the store, bought another dye and tried again. Well it took out some of the red, but my hair is still a dark brownish/red. I hate it! Will colorfix work? Will it just take out the red and leave me with brown hair again, or will it do somthing weird and funky to my hair?? I want to know all the answers before trying it and having to deal with an even bigger disaster! PLEASE HELP!!! Question posted by Katie Sun Oct 29 2006 Submit your answer
