GOTTI STATUS

for all you want the GOTTI look i got all the anwsers.......

first of all you need to do is get a haircut(blowout or taper, same sh*). The length of your hair should be able to come down to the middle of your forhead and if you get it too short it wont look right..make sure you go to a guy who's good at giving the taper or blowout. Next buy ethier ice spiker or g2b glued which ever you prefer but i recommend ice spiker. Next take a shower shampoo hair and dry hair with towel. finally the hair first of all make sure your hair is dried and use a comb and push you hair up and blow dry it up and until all the hair is pushed up. now you have the structure and then juss gently water your hair a tad bit. after that take the gel and spread it in the palm of your hand spread the gel in a zig zag way in hand. then rub both hands together. next start from back and push you hair up with one hand and make sure you get the gel spread to the back even then push the sides the same way make sure your hand motion is going upwards for all and do the same with the front to. if your hair is straight you going to have perfect spikes and if curly you need to apply more gel to straighten the hair upwards. use the blow dryer and with your thumb and middle finger do each spike one by one and then do the edges and the back and front last. just get the middle up by applying gel and use a comb and blowdryer and juss push it up. the front as the forhead hair should pushed back a lil back. don't get it make sure you hair is being pushed back and make sure you could see each indivial spike in front sides and back. the side should be pushed in a backward motion and make sure your spikes are pointly they look better. just style your hair with gel and pratice makes perfect so try to do it often as you can. if you still need help and wanna know how my hair looks like click the link below..

"Blowout/Gotti Cut" Styling....TH BEST Tips N' Tricks...
submitted by: Willi J. K. from CONNECTI-CUT, Sun Oct 14 2007
5 of 5 people found this tip helpful.

Here is what I have always done whenever I got a short spikey lookor the more current blowout cut... This also may help for more curly or thick-haired guys who want the Blowout look but need to "train" the hair first, the Blowout cut works best for fine, straight or medium textured hair. Depends on what u r born with, that's genetics for ya... Not a haircutter or stylist here just my own tips...

Anyways, proceeding with the styling tips for the Blowout...
Wash hair, a simple Shampoo & Conditioner-All-In-One should do the trick. Do NOT over-condition the hair unless you have dry hair to begin with. This will weigh the hair folicles down when u style ur hair later and make the hair fall down and loose the "spikey" look.

Towel-Dry Hair, so that hair is slightly damp.. Do NOT completely dry the hair.

To "train" the hair take a comb or brush and comb down the hair straight, yes ur bangs should be a bit falling in ur eyes or at least the front of ur hair should be on ur forehead. Do NOT comb your hair back just yet.....

I was never crazy about pomades, or waxes... depending on your hair, whether u have it colored or natural, the aforementioned products may bring out unwanted highlights and tones and be difficult to work with when styling. A MATTE look works best for the BLOWOUT....
Take a product line's PASTE or CLAY in ur hands, and with ur head (optional) upside down, run your fingers against the hair that u just made straight with the brush earlier. Since u are going against the way you trained ur hair earlier, ur hair should now be popping off it's ends.
Moderately wet a comb and decide where it may be too spikey, this u gotta decide on ur own. If hair begins to start drying too immediately, grab a bottle of conditioner and a very small amount of it to rewet it or more of the paste. Do NOT use water

Take Got 2 B's Spiking Glue, Studio Line's Hair Putty, Garnier's Pliable Clay or Short N' Sexy Hair's FRENZY and begin to PINCH the ends of ur hair with any of these products. You should be Spikin' by now.

If The look is too "MATTE" for your taste, ALWAYS finish with a fine spray glosser.. The BEST is: CHI's (Cationic Hrydration Interlink) SHINE INFUSION SPRAY comes in a red spray can. Logo is in Grey..
Depending on how u want it, with a slightly wet look or very wet, this spray will do the trick....

All these tips and you didn't even have to use a blowdryer....

Additionally, usually your local Barber cannot do a BLOWOUT... You should go to a SALON, you would be better off calling around and "shopping for" a cutter that specializes in the cut itself.
If you say "BLOWOUT" or "GOTTI CUT" the modern haircutter person SHOULD know what u r talking about, if they don't then keeping calling salons til' they do. The cut is simple, tapered ends on the sides, a bit more on top to play with and squared off in the back. To me it's more the way you shape and use the products on ur hair then the cut itself.
You are getting more of a square cut, and then just shaping it more so with the products. It's like an overgrown Flat-Top except you have way more hair.

Hope these tips helped, if any questions e-mail me directly at:

well the only way you could get the gotti hair is that you use ice spiker and go to ur local barbershop and ask for a taper first and then a blowout.after that get a blowdryer and use a comb to make ur hair go straight up and apply gel and then blowdry it all around ur hair.i get a haircut every week to make it fresh....

combine with LA looks

I just bought some got2b glued and its great, i have thick hair so usually gel doesnt work well or last long for me, for a longer hold and a stronger hold combine got2b glued with some LA looks, this makes the hold a lot better and it works a lot better, plus its not that exspensive for both got2b glued and LA looks it only cost about $10

gotti hair

I use ICE spiker, u can find it at most professional salons for around $12.95. Make sure your hair is dry and use a big glob. run it through your hair and make sure theres an even amount all around. then use a pick comb in the front and twist an seperate the front and middle spikes. It also helps to have kinda longish hair about 3 to 4 inchs. ICE works a lot better then got2b but got2b will work too. If it takes a little while for your hair to dry you can also use a hair dryer to put it up then put the hair glue in it.

I found a good way to do it

HEY, i found a good way to do it. i use ice on my hair, but not the ice spike glue, the ice reactor.

yes, it works so much better, it holds my hair in straight spikes. i use a pick comb to help comb my hair like that of johns. i got a taper fade too. and since my hair was a little curly (wavey) i straightend my hair out so it would spike up.

spiking your hair 2 perfection
submitted by: Rino, Sun Oct 16 2005

ok 1st u need 2 wash your hair with shampoo and contioner. next u need 2 dry it with a towel.(rub it down hard so it gets nice and lose) do this till its just about completly dry.(you wanna make shure its dry because if its not after your done spiking it you will be able to see your whole scalp.)now next u wanna add the gel, the best way to do this is to just add a small palm full at a time (if you dont you will have thick white clumps in your hair that is not easy 2 get out.)after the gel is in yer hair take a comb and brush it up. at this point it will be pin strait and sticking up (kinda like a afroe), the point of this is to make shure no hair is stuck to your scalp and that it is all sticking up. now the last thing u wanna do is take just a little bit of gel so that your hands are just sticky and glide your hands back and fourth at the tips of your hair. this will make your hair bind together in a very neat way.

now if you have long hair in the back of your head jus take some gel and push it up then blow dry it so it stays in place.(make shure your hair is damp when u do this)

this may not be easy, iv been doing my hair like this since i was like 4 and its just like a everyday thing 2 me.
