when u go to the barber tell him to line it up or "edge-up" the widows peak or you could just do it yourself with a good beard trimmer | can a "italian modern" barber really do the gotti hair style, or i have to go to new york or new jersey in order to do this?
i always wanted to try the gotti hairstyle for the first time, but my hair is kinda curly to do it, and it just plops down all the time, and i used this product, too. anyway this barber really doesnt know how to do it of wut i ask him, but the reason why i dont go to a hair stylist or a salon because this guy cuts its REALLY straight and perfect on my hair, the rest they suck, so how do i ask him when i want the gotti hair style, should i just say tape up or blowout or just say do edge-ups? and i still want more tips or makin it more neater and straighter the hair? skip the bs that everyone's tellin u with blowout, tapeup, etc. just tell the barber straight up u want a low fade with about 2-3 inches on the top. every barber knows what a low fade is [[even my dad]], so don't worry about traveling 240050506 miles to new jersey just to get a damn blowout | is this good for dreadlocks

well, the got2b styling spikin glue wont do the trick of when it comes to dreadlocks, u use the got2b styling freezing spray, its a lot easier, just spray it on ur dreads and it wont make much of a mess, wit the glue, yeh, its messy, so i suggest using the got2b stylin freezing spray, less mess | | Reply by amanda

you need to keep twisting it once a week and each time you get it twisted just put beez wax or blue magic, B&B on it. you dont want to use anything that will flake up in your hair and this stuff probably will. Stick with grease and hair lotion it will keeps your dreads looking and feeling soft and looking clean and shinny. You cn get all this stuff at walmart or the korean hair shops! hope this helps | Tape Up or Brook Cut
Hi, I live in Toronto, Ontario. Does any one know where the barber knows what a Tape Up or Brook Cut is cause I went to one and she said she knew (She was Guyanese, I assumed she knew urban hair cut), well it didn't get the hair cut I was expecting. So anyone can tell me where they know what they are doing, I am willing to go cause I don't mind the driving as long as I get the hair cut I was expecting. a blow up and a tape up are the same thing... its just it looks like ur hair is blowing up, hence the name. All it is is short in the back of the neck and tapered to long hair and the side burns are short and tapered into long hair also.. Just go to more of an urban barber and ask for a blow up or a taper. | blowout / tape up
what is the difference between a blow out and a tape up. and which is better for the gotti look or do u need to have both done? Question posted by brandon Wed Dec 20 2006 Submit your answer | Reply by Robby

A Blowouttt is only a hairstyle. Not an actual haircut. Any real barber in the tristate would smack just for asking for a blowout. What you need is a brook. Thats it no tape up taper going down or blowout. Just ask a barber for a brook but first you must have ur hair curly or get it curled. I know it sounds gay but you gotta do what you otta do. After that you get a skin tight brook. The brook can't blend with the top sides or back part thats going to be glued up.there needs to be a line between the much longer hair and the brook going all the way around ur head. Then after u have that done u nead to start styling (which surprizingly isn't as tough as everyone thinks it is). What you do is go to the mall and find a store that sells salon products. Pick up a bottle of ICE Spiker styling glue. It will cost ya about 15 bucks but its worth it. Now go home and blow dry ur hair until it stays kinda like a afro. Then throw some glue into your hair in an upward and backward motion away from ur face. After you done with that part just simply bring out the front, sides and back. U can use ur hands or a pick comb. It takes a shit load of work but once its perfected u'll be going to your local Rite AID every couple of days to buy a pack of condoms. And a few more things u should know is the farther U live from Queens and Brooklyn the harder it is to find a barber that really knows how to brook ur hair. If u don't live in the tristate DO NOT I REPEAT DO NOT ask a barber to attempt the cut. Rather have a basement cutter do it for you. Show him a pic of the front sides and back and tell him to leave an inch and a half on top, no more no less. And thats all goooood luckkkkkkkkk. | | Reply by Juniour

Look Bro There Are Alot of Differencens Btwn. Tha Blowout and Tape up. (1.) The Blowout Is A Hairstyle/haircut (2.) A tape up is an actaul hair cut Not a Style it's a very short Cut wit a line Up It's Very Comon among african americans (3.)If ur Going 4 tha Gotti Look U Should bring in a pic 2 ur barber(go 2 a hispanic or italian barber shop 4 this style) kuz all it really is is a Blowout on tha top with a line up nd a tape up on tha sides Thts Wut I've been doing for 2 years now and Now i cant walk down tha street w/out ppl asking if i am related 2 tha gottis. U Should use Go2bGlued Gel Or ICE Spiker They Both Work fine 4 me but since im Italian ndd Puertorican My Hair is Much easier 2 gel in this Blowout Style.Goodd Luckk | Will my hair work?

yea it can work but u have to get ur hair thick first and the best way to do this is not washing ur hair at all..keep using the products on ur hair and when u shower dont use soap or shampoo or anything just rinse ur hair out..this will make ur hair thicker and a lot easier to style into the gotti hairstle | gotti blowout

see, many people dont understand about getting a blowout tape or w/e u want to call it. first of all this hair cut is a new york, new jersey style so it is pretty much rare that any barber from san diego or california would know what a blowout is. second of all you dont just use gell. u have to use a BLOWDRYER, hence the name "blowout". basically what you do is you take a tower first, dampen your hair with a towel and blowdry your hair upwards. remember you have to blowdry it upwards, not sideways, but upwards. then you pour gel into your hands rub it spread it throughout your hair, and dont forget the back of your hair. after you applied gel you have to use a comb (not a regular comb, the round comb with spikes coming out of it) and just sort of brush everything up with the comb. after you finished that just apply hair spray for the finishing touch. i am no barber, but i do have a blowout and this is from experience. | how long should the top be ..?
Well my hair seem's long enough but i want it to spike up i dont know what gel to use and not only that how long should the top be ..? Question posted by Ray Tue Oct 10 2006 Submit your answer | Reply by Devin
