Yes, the product does remove hair permanently; it destroys the root--either immediately or in subsequent applications. The machine does work the same as "regular" electrolysis. | Remplacing Alcool by other thing

Try moistening your clean fingers, grasp the metal band on the wand, and touch to the other metal strip on the machine. If it is working, you will hear the sound. If it still doesn't work and make that sound, then conductivity gel following a good cleansing of the face with soap & water, followed by astringent or alcohol swab of the area should help with the "contact".
sometimes, one's fingers are too oily, or have lotion on them. If you are brave and want to "up" the jolt, dip your forefinger and thumb in a small bowl of salt water, and watch it work! It may cause cracking of those two fingers after frequent use, though. | IS IT PERMANENT REMOVAL

BEFORE ORDERING I WOULD LIKE TO KNOW IF IT IS PERMANENT HAIR REMOVAL OR DOES USING THIS MAKE THE HAIR GROW AT A SLOWER RATE | how to change tips
What is the secret to changing the tips without bending them? This seems to be a big challenge for many users. The wand design makes one push the replacement tip thru a 1.5 inch plastic cap and then thru a tiny, tiny hole. It's impossible to guide the tip. Thus, it bends. I find that taking the tip apart from the wand, then placing the probe in, and reassembling the wand helps the best- that way I can feel if there is resistance and gently guide the tip in manually. Sometimes, the lye byproduct can also go into the tip, creating a crusty residue- washing it out tends to alleviate this problem, and then procede with the hand guided insertion. | :( I am fail to put the needle into the right hair follicle
