i love this thing. it doesn't damage my hair, heats so quickly, and straightens and makes my hair really soft really fast.
Eh...okay.

I got it and at 1st i was really happy with it,but then after a while it starts to wear off and doesnt work as well and then the little spring thing broke =/. If i could go back i would have got something else.
It's okay

I've had mine for about 6 months and the first month it worked really well....but by the second month it just worked okay. It takes a long time for it to heat up and the purple coloring on the plates is chipping off. However, the price is right so I guess I got my moneys worth.
the ceramic chips off.. dont waste your money.

when i first bought this straightener it was pretty good. i have REALLY frizzy, dry, wavy hair and it never made it soft or shiny but it straightened okay i guess.. took about 1hr- 2hrs. then the ceramic coating started chipping away & now its just junk, it makes it even drier (which i thought was impossible) & pulls out my hair! i guess its not that much money but $40 would be a waste on this, honestly.

I got this as a gift, and it did "straighten" the hair, but it didn't smooth it, if you know what I mean. I have really thick and curly hair,it's soft & coarse at the same time, but not kinky. My hair just studk straight out. I've tried pulling my hair down, and closer to the scalp, but it just didn't work for me.
Waste of money

I bought this flat iron it worked great for about 3 months then it started over heating and the spring broke, so there is no longer a tight clamp. I would not buy this product! By the end of the day my wave was back, it does not stay stright for very long and I dont even have extreamly curly hair, just a slight wave in back.

I bought my straightner about 1 year and a half ago. I still have it and there has been no chipping on the plates , it does not overheat , and it has worked WONDERFULLY on my hair. I thought that because i bought it for pretty cheap it would not work very well . . i was wrong!! I am still using it and have used it almost every day for 1 year and a half. Also, i have thin, wavy hair. I'm not sure if it works as well on thicker or curly hair. I would encourage anyone to get this if they ahve the same hair type as me.

This iron works well... when it turns on! It is cheaply made and after using it maybe 50 times max it simply won't heat up.

like the person below me i purchased mine in february. Mine also overheats and damages my hair, on the side my hair oils are building up which means this is making my hair very dry. Also i have very thin fine hair and the plates are beginning to scratch.
**WARNING DO NOT BUY THIS**
I thought it wokred excellent

I actually paid $140 for mine because i got in from hawaii in a salon and i had the same problem of the purple ceramic stuff coming off. I dont know if it because i leave it on too long and it just melts away or what. But other than that it straightened my hair really well.
so far so good

I was expecting a much better iron since I spent fifty dollars on it, but after about 6 months, the ceramic plates starting peeling off the purple telflon and it would tend to fry my hair sometimes. The real kicker was just a few weeks ago, one the plates just stopped working. Ohh I was mad. My husband took it apart and said that it had burned out the wire that tells the plate to get hot. So, for Christmas, I'm getting a Chi.
Unbelievable!

I have hard-to-style hair. After relaxing and air drying, styling my hair with a curling iron would leave my hair frizzy at the ends. So, I stopped using heat products and began pulling my hair back into a pony tail. My cousin, whose hair always looks great, told me about using a ceramic iron. I bought this one three weeks ago -- I LOVE IT! My hair has never looked so good, felt so soft or looked so smooth. It's a great tool to use between touchups. After allowing my hair to air-dry, I use the flat iron to straighten and curl my hair. Also, I like the temperature settings so there's no chance for frying my hair. I've told other people about this product after they commented on my hair. Now there are more happy customers!

i bought a Wigo straightener, but it snagged my hair so i bought this one and it worked great! it never snagged my hair and makes my hair look shiny and smooth. i have wavy, thick, course hair so this was a great helper
if you have uncontrollable hair, you should get this straightener. it's for a reasonable price and it works well.
