Effective Acne Treatment

Zeno clears pimples in people with mild to moderate inflammatory acne. It is a hand-held, portable electronic medical device that is clinically proven to make pimples disappear fast. Zeno is the most scientifically advanced and effective acne device available without a prescription.

The proprietary Zeno technology triggers a heat shock response in microorganisms that cause skin lesions, bringing about the self-destruction of those bacteria and allowing the skin to return to a healthy, normal state. In the case of acne, the P. acnes bacterium is the root cause of 90% of all acne pimples.

Zeno^TM is a simple electronic product designed to safely heat an acne lesion to a pre-set temperature range known to generate heat shock response. Heat shock response is a reaction bacteria have to heat whereby they transcript a number of genes and activate heat-shock proteins. These heat-shock proteins participate in the bacteria's death by causing the bacteria to self-destruct.

Zeno Treatment

Pimples occur when excess skin oil and flaking skin plug the opening of a hair follicle and create the ideal environment for acne bacteria to grow. Precisely controlled heat applied for a specific period of time causes the bacteria to self-destruct. When the bacteria die, the pimple goes away. Zeno applies a precisely controlled heat dose directly to the pimple through a metal pad.

Safe, painless, and effective acne treatment

Zeno can clear up a pimple in just hours. Two to three 2½-minute treatments spread over 24 hours are sufficient for most pimples. Often, only one treatment is needed. Most other medications can take days or even weeks to work.

Patients included in our clinical trials experienced little reaction to the low-level heat. Other than some temporary skin redness following a treatment cycle, no other adverse side effects were reported.

Who should use Zeno?

Zeno is for people with mild to moderate inflammatory acne. If in doubt, ask your doctor.

When should Zeno be used?

Use Zeno at the first sign of a pimple. It works best when used on a pimple in the early stages of development. In addition, the sooner pimples are cleared up, the less chance they have to leave scars.

Directions:

Note: Your Zeno batteries do not come charged. Charging your Zeno for4 hours will provide enough power for up to two (2) treatment cycles. The batteries should be fully charged for at least 6 hours before regular use. Use your Zeno only with battery power. For safety reasons, Zeno will not work when plugged into the Wall Charging Plug.

1. Remove the cover and place it to the side. Make sure that a Treatment Tip Cartridge is installed (your new Zeno has one already installed). Wipe the Treatment Tip with a clean cloth and warm soapy water or alcohol. Always clean the Treatment Tip before each treatment cycle. Includes 90 Tips.
2. Press the Power Button. A three-tone Power On sound means that
3. Zeno is starting up. The lights on the front panel will turn on, and the Treatment Activation Button will first glow amber for about a minute, then it will flash green. The flashing green light and a two-tone Ready sound mean that Zeno is ready for treatment.

• Note: Zeno will turn itself off if a treatment cycle is not started within 35 seconds of the Ready signal (when the Treatment Activation Button flashes green).
• Zeno gives multiple beeps after 25 seconds to alert you that it will power down if the Treatment Activation Button is not pressed within 10 seconds.
• If Zeno does power down, restart it by pressing the Power Button. Wait for the Treatment Activation Button to turn from amber to flashing green, then go to step 4 Treatment

4. Place (do not push) the Treatment Tip onto the pimple. Use a mirror to be sure you are on the blemish. Pushing hard does not help the treatment and may make temporary redness last longer.
5. Press the Treatment Activation Button, making it change from flashing to solid green. A three-tone Treatment Start sound means Zeno is starting a treatment cycle. Hold the Treatment Tip on the pimple. Every 30 seconds a single Treatment Pacer tone will sound to help you keep track of the treatment cycle time. After 2½ minutes, the Treatment Activation Button will turn amber and a three-tone Treatment Complete sound lets you know the treatment cycle is done. For the best results, keep the Treatment Tip in full contact with the pimple for the entire cycle. If you need to stop a treatment cycle, simply press the Treatment Activation Button. The button will turn amber, and when ready, flash green to let you know that Zeno is ready for treatment.
6. Remove Zeno from the pimple. Depending upon your skin you may notice some temporary skin redness around the treatment area. This redness is normal and should reduce over the next few hours. See the Precautions section on page 6.
7. If you want to treat another pimple, wait about 10 seconds until the Treatment Activation Button again flashes green, then start again at Step 4. When you have finished all treatments (limited by a Safety Feature to 3 treatments in a row), press the Power Button. A two-tone Power Off sound will let you know Zeno is turned off. The Safety Feature releases the Zeno after 2 minutes, and your Zeno can then be used for additional treatments.

Helpful Hints:

• Before your first treatment, get used to the treatment by pressing the Treatment Activation Button and placing the Treatment Tip 2 onto your forearm. You should not find the heat dose painful. In most cases the skin becomes less sensitive quickly. Press the Treatment Activation Button again to stop the treatment. To avoid this test being counted as a treatment cycle, complete the test within 30 seconds.
• We suggest you use a mirror to properly place the Treatment Tip on a pimple and to make sure the tip remains in constant contact with the pimple during treatment. Be sure to PLACE, not PUSH, Zeno against the pimple. Extra pressure is not needed.
• The treatment cycle may be stopped at any time by pressing the Treatment Activation Button. If the cycle is stopped within the first 30 seconds, it will not be counted as a treatment and will not reduce the total treatment count.
• As a safety feature, Zeno allows only 3 treatment cycles within a 15-minute time period. If you attempt to go over this limit, Zeno will power off. You may begin more treatments after 2 minutes.
• Please note that facial hair may prevent full and complete contact with the pimple. It is important to have full and constant contact with the pimple during the treatment cycle.
• If your skin is light, you may be more likely to have redness around the treatment area. In almost all cases, such redness is normal and should not cause alarm. If you experience an adverse reaction, stop using Zeno and contact your health care professional.

ya Zeno didn't help with my acne at all. It made it red and stay longer than they normally do. Don't recommend at all.

I stumbled on this product at Target while looking for my everyday self tanner. In a moment of pure weakness because I just got my paycheck, I took it to the cashier. It was a total splurge. I had 30 days to return it if it didn't work for me, so nothing to lose, right? I have your typical problem blemish spots on a monthly basis and my skin can be sensitve, but this little device just cleared them right up. It took about a day or so, but the spots were no longer visible. The more I use it, I've noticed the less problem areas I have too. Proactiv was the only thing that somewhat worked for me, but it stopped working after a while. My skin looks so much better. No foul odors, no bleach, no chemicals, no drying and irritated skin...I have no complaints here.

Doesnt work on cystic acne

I have cystic acne (mild to moderate) My face isnt covered, but I get a lot of big red painful pimples, especially around my mouth and chin. I bought this, because I heard it worked well on these big ol monsters if you used it at the very early stage when it first starts forming under the skin....well, it didnt do much for me. I cant give it only 1 star, because it DID reduce the swelling and pain immediatley after the treatment. But it DID NOT reverse, or even slow the development of the pimple. I have tried it several times with the same exact results. Bottom line is, I think you can fall in love with this product IF you have a certain kind of acne that it works well on. I dont know what kind it is, but it is not Cystic acne. Do not waste your money on this if you have Cystic Acne.

Zeno is AMAZING!!! I spent a lot of time and a lot of money looking for a product that works as well as this product. If I feel a pimple popping up I just zap it right away and it starts to slowly get smaller throughout the day!!! LOVE IT! It is so critical that you use it when the pimple first pops up though because if you let it get big, the harm to your skin is already done. It is great to use in the morning and evening. Overall, an impressive product. Finally, no more dry skin from topicals. Hallelujah!

Let me start by saying I have seen definite questionable patterns on this site (and others) regarding poor Zeno reviews, and I'll just leave it at that. Unfortunately with really good products, there are always people that try to discredit a product's effectiveness. Extremely disappointing! However, despite all this nonsense, the clinical data doesn't lie. I know from personal experience that Zeno really works. At first, I didn't believe Zeno's clinical data that 90% of pimples resolve within 24 hours, until I tried it myself. Read the manual. Follow the directions. Use the product properly. Decide for yourself, not some person on a website that can write anything they want and you don't know a thing about them. You can get it at many retail stores and doctors offices, so I would just try it for yourself. You can always return it within 30 days (no trouble) if it doesn't work for you. Give it 30 days though, and take the time to learn how to use it properly on new pimples. Make sure you charge it overnight when you first get it too (just like a cell phone).
