Product Rating: 5 Awesome

I just got this dryer yesterday and it is awesome. I was worried about getting a dual voltage because I wasn't sure if it would work well on the different setting. I haven't tried the 110 setting, but the 220 works awesome and it gets super hot, I even had to keep in on low near my face because it worked so well. It's super small and light and it was nice because my arm didn't get tired at all. It takes a while to dry my hair, but this was quite fast and painless! So far so good, I'm so glad I shelled out for this as I can now take it with me everywhere!

Product Rating: 5 Awesome dryer & great to use all the time

I got this to use once in a while when I'm traveling, but I luv it so much that I use it all the time. It's not too noisey, super-duper lite & leaves me w/very little frizz (& I have the frizziest, poofiest hair in the world).

Product Rating: 5 Folica is the best!!!!
Reviewer: Alleen   Thu Sep 10 2009

I had previously purchased a Solia hair dryer, which I like but it was too heavy to lug around on plane trips, so I bought this one. It's awesome!! I've been using it on a daily basis, and I haven't seen any hair damage. Also, the weight of the Superlite is definitely a huge improvement - I can hold it up and blowdry my extremely thick and wavy hair without so much effort. The only thing that I like on the Solia that this dryer doesn't have is the cold blast, but I can definitely live without it, given the lighter weight. Even on the lowest setting, the Superlite is extremely powerful.

I've been a repeat customer of Folica because of their awesome customer service, and I only trust them for my hair supplies! :)

Product Rating: 3 X5 Superlight not supergood

I love my lightweight, folding travel hairdryer. However after only 4 months of use the on/off switch is broken. The last dryer I owned like this one lasted me 4 years.

Product Rating: 4 Perfect for carry on

This powerful light weight hair dryer was great to take on vacation. Use to have carry larger hair driers in separate luggage. Seems well built to last a long time

Product Rating: 5 Perfect for globetrotting!

I work overseas and travel on a regular basis. This dryer is absolutely wonderful - I can't believe I never bought one sooner! With the dual-voltage, all you need is an adapter for non-US plugs. I carry one of the multi-adapters with me... and no matter where I end up, this baby will work like a charm. I also use it as a regular dryer at times since it works so well! I'm thoroughly impressed - and even though some might consider this dryer pricey... it's well worth it, especially considering I don't have to keep buying converters / different dryers in different countries! 5 stars!

Product Rating: 5 X5 Tourmaline Travel Dryer

This is the best travel hair dryer I have EVER used. In fact, it works better than my T3 $200 hair dryer! This little guy dries my hair fast and without making it feel frizzy or dry. It takes up almost no space in my bag and cools off very fast so I can pack it up and check out of my hotel quickly. I travel a bunch for work and have gone through 3 travel dryers before finding this one. I highly recommend this to anyone who travels and doesn't want to lug around full size dryers or use those horrid hotel dryers.

Product Rating: 5 Great dryer!
Reviewer: Nancy from FL  Mon Apr 14 2008

I bought this dryer to replace a Tourmaline T3 travel dryer that lasted less than 6 months. I am very pleased not only with the performance (it dries quickly and is very light to handle) but with the quality. It is hands above the previously owned hair dryer. I am very happy to have found this model.

Product Rating: 5 Definately worth the $$$, Just as good as my big X5
Reviewer: Sana from Canada  Mon Mar 10 2008

LOVE THIS DRYER!
It is pretty expensive for a travel dryer, but it is really worth it.
It works just as well as my large X5 Superlite dryer that I have at home. So when I go to the gym, I take my travel X5 with me (and it is so small and convenient), style my hair at the gym, and go straigh to work. My hair looks just as good on those days as it does when I do my hair from the comfort of my home. Nobody can tell the difference.
That is really important to me because I have spent a few years sacrificing good hair: the travel dryers I used to use on my gym mornings left my hair frizzy and un-polished. The style would fall out before lunch-time.
I'm so happy with my X5 travel dryer.

I have used the 1600 watt model for approimately 2 weeks and I love it. It is light weight and easier to travel with than the larger watt model. But I love that one for at home. The price and free shipping are very nice too!

Product Rating: 4 Work well

Works well - heats up quickly - very light and travels in tight space.

Very light, easy to handle, powerfull for size, realitively quiet, great for travel and home.

Product Rating: 5 Won't leave home without it!

I spend many days on the road and no longer have to deal with bad hair days away from home. This travel dryer is worth the space and weight(both minimal)in luggage. You just can't compare this type of ionic dryer with the hotel room dryer. Worth every penny; every bit as good as my full size Chi Ionic Dryer.

Product Rating: 4 Pretty Good
Reviewer: Sylvia   Tue Jul 24 2007

This is a pretty good hair dryer. It's very light and portable. It is not a full size dryer, but larger than a mini dryer. It dries my hair slightly quicker than my last dryer. My only complaint would be that the force of the air flow is not the best.

Product Rating: 5 BEST travel dryer
Reviewer: Nico   Fri Jun 29 2007

This dryer is the best travel dryer I've ever used. I use it every day, and it works wonderfully. It is light (9 oz), powerful, and quiet.

Small but mighty, the X5 leaves my long hair silky, shiny, and frizz-free. It is a TRUE dual voltage appliance-- meaning, it works the same at 220V (standard voltage outside the U.S.) as it does at 110V. It runs slightly hotter at 220V, but that appears to be standard.

It comes with a concentrator and diffuser, but does not come with a plug adapter (which gives you the correct pin configuration for foreign outlets). These can be bought at any travel store, Target, etc.

My only criticism is that the plastic on the concentrator where it attaches to the dryer is a little flimsy, but I leave mine attached all the time and have no problems; it never falls off like some attachments.

This is outweighed by the performance, quality, and 48 MONTH warranty, which far exceeds anything else on the market. When I return to the U.S., I will be buying the full-size X5. It is worth every penny.
