i have really wavy hair and i dont know what i would do without it. it works pretty good. the only problems are the fly-aways!!!, its takes to long to straighten my hair about 45min-1hour i only have about an hour to ger ready in the morning so sometimes i dont get to eat breakfast. if you have a busy schedual DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT!!! if you die hair you can see the die wearing off on the straightener. dont leave this product on stained wood it creates a brownish tinge on the straighener. im trying to get a solia so my advice save you money!!!

...shame on me. My daughter's *second* Wigo again went out an hour before her date. I went back to Ulta, this time with receipt and warranty in hand, and traded up to the Chi, which is what her hairdresser uses. Wigo is demonstratively a very unreliable product. The first one went out within a year. Thought it was a lemon, so tried again. The second one lost heat on the top plate within a month, and within three months (tonight), it pooped out all together. I had NO IDEA the damn cord had lead. That's great to hear that my 16-year-old daughter has been using this piece of crapola with no protection. No wonder, she can't remember to unload the dishwasher. Her brain has been fried. In the short time, the Wigo did work, I have to say it worked well. My daughter liked it just fine. But, she literally squealed when I unsheathed the Chi. Between it and her new shoes, she floated out the door with boyfriend in tow.
Don't Buy This Junk

It worked great for a month then it was making my hair stringy and then it stopped working after 2-3 months after I bought it. I was told by a hair dresser that it wasn't truely ceramic and it was only plated so after several uses it loses it power. Then the cord contained Lead and required me to wash my hands after every use. There was a HUGE warning label on the back of the box saying that the cord contained LEAD. This company should stop selling a product that doesn't work and they shouldn't sell a product that stresses the fact that the product contain LEAD. Please don't buy this product...you'll be sorry......

I would not recommend this product to anyone who wants to have straight hair with out the frizz. I tried hot tools before and it worked until the purple plates started to melt. Then I put more money into the Wigo and it was worse because the Hot tools iron leaves no frizz and the Wigo leaves you like a frizz ball.
I wouldn't quite reccomend it...

I purchased my first Wigo last year after Christmas. I worked very well for the first two months but then all the "ceramic" on the plates started to melt off. I figured this was because I had to keep on the highest heat and used it everyday-But even though- it shouldn't say high heat, if it can't withstand it. I took it back to the store thinking it might have been a product defect. The store gave me a new one...AND IT DID THE SAME THING!! I still have mine and it works okay, I'm buying a Chi though.

I bought this flat iron when it first came out for $80. It looked a lot like the Chi but was a lot cheaper. Within a year it suddenly stopped heating so I followed the instructions and sent it back with a check for shipping. They sent me a new unit. Within 6 months it stopped heating one side. I use it once a day and usually remember to shut it off (I wish it had an auto shut off.) I'm hoping I can still use the warranty. If not I'm buying a new Chi.
great on my hair!

I've only had this product for a couple of weeks, but so far I've gotten many compliments on my hair, and people are even saying they don't notice I haven't dyed my roots in months! My hair looks so straight and shiny, it's not even noticeable!

I found it hard to clean and it easily accumulated "gunk" on the plates. Plus, it only lasted about 6 months for me and almost instantly started to cool down. It is definitely better then alot of irons out there but not to the caliber of the CHI.

My sister and I have had our flat iron for about 6 months and now the ceramic plates are absolutely coated with product. It doesn't work very well in my hair which is half way down my back, and very thick and curly. It also makes your hair fairly frizzy.

I've had this straighter for a year now. Then just before I was going to use it & pack it up for vacation in Florida....it DIED! I knew it was going to last much longer after the fake gold ceramic plates had started to fade away. It started to smell like it was smoking...and then never heated up again. I've had straighters from revlon, to hot tools, to ceramic tools, to the now expired Wigo. Pros...it didn't pull my hair, quick heat up, fairly good heat. Cons...only went to temp "12" (how hot is that? who knows), priced higher that what it's worth.

i had bought the wigo with a friend she has really thick curly hair and mine is kinda' thin and a little wavy. even with the iron set on 12 it didn't get very hot. i was looking for a good quality flat iron that was a reasonaly priced, and i learned that was not the way to go. my bf's older brother said the gold part chiped because it probably wasn't real saramic tiles, just a iron painted gold. i bought a CHI for aroung $120 and i have had it for 2 and 1/2 yeas and it the best iron i have gottten with REAL tile amd it keeps my hair moise, shinny, and straight. even when i get hot in the dry summers here.
It good for my type of hair.........i guess

This wigo product has worked fine for my hair, it cut my hair straightening times in half, i guess coz i've had my hair thined out a bit and my hair is not curly its just got a little bit of kinks, im the type of person who likes my hair super straight and this product does the job really well, its doens't take ages and ages to heat up like my old one use to! im not sure about you other people who gave the bad reviews but mine is working fine, no chipping or dying out (yet! =p). just wondering tho my model is the updated version with the black plates (not the yellow plates) was everyone elses black too?

To give it credit, this iron worked somewhat well on my thick, wavy hair. I've only had it for 6 months and I already need to buy a new one. The ceramic is chipping off and it never really worked too well. I wouldn't really recommend it!

I've had the wigo ceramic flat iron for about a year and it no longer works. It just stopped getting hot and I was left with no flat iron to straighten my hair. I had to rush order another ceramic flat iron to replace it. Also, the ceramic has been chipping off of the plates for quite some time now. I suggest using your money to buy a better quality iron.

I bought this for $80 and I am extremely disappointed. The ceramic is chipping off and now it doesn't even straighten my hair. I wish I had read reviews about it, I would have invested $5 more and gotten the HAI Convertable Ceramic Flat Iron.

This is ok but I am sure there are better irons out there. It has many heat settings but it never got quite hot enough. Also, I only had mine for about 30 days and the ceramic started chipping off. I am now returning it and wouldn't recommend.
