Product Rating: 4 very good

Product Rating: 1 Horrible Product
Reviewer: Annonymous from San Jose,, CA  Thu Mar 02 2006

Bought the thing in Nov '05. It's now the beginnning of March '06. Used it twice a week. That's 36 times. Used this product *36* times in 3 & 1/2 months. Have discovered this morning that one side is not heating, explaining quite a bit. Called the place where I bought it: no, I don't have the receipt & no, I don't have the warranty card. God forbid they'd want to have a happy customer and work with me - they're the one carrying a product that apparantly, according to this web site, has quite the problems, one side breaking just being one. No web site for Wigo, paying for your own return? And what the heck is this about "lead" on the cord & washing your hands. Unbelieveable. Buy at your own risk to your pocket book and to your physical health.

much better than the hot tools 1" ceramic straightener

Product Rating: 3 It's Ok
Reviewer: Sylvia from Milwaukie, OR  Wed Jan 25 2006

My hair is naturally straight, but I got a perm over the summer and I needed a really good straightener so I bought the Wigo thinking it'd be good, but I have to straighten my hair, then run it through everything again to make it completely straight and it doesn't even really get that hot. It feels kind of grainy when I'm running it through my hair, and I hate that. I recommend the Superstar.

I got this thinking wow this is a true ceramic flat iron, was I ever wrong the coating chipped off and within a week it was burning my hair. Also right after you run it through your hair it's already frizzy, you have to use a load of product, even then, when youwalk outside it's frizzy again

I used this iron at my friends house. I have wavy asian hair so it's not very thick, but it gets very wavy at times. I used it once at it made my hair pretty straight. I was going to buy it but my friend told me that the plates began to chip.

When i first started using this product it kept my hair straight as long as i didnt get hot or sweaty. If i did then my hair would get FrIzZy and WaVy! Then i discovered a secret! The wigo works great if you put bio silk in hair immediatly after straightening it! I recommened this product!

Product Rating: 4 Its a good straightener but...
Reviewer: Angie from georgia  Fri Dec 16 2005

ok well i bought the WIGO hair straightener and I thought it would work great cus at the time i bought it, it was $89 but i live in Georgia and in the summers it gets so humid and my hair quickly got wavy again. I think this hair straightener would work better for people whos hair is a little bit straight naturally cus it worked great for my friend's hair but not for mine. I am gonna buy a CHI cus they work g-r-e-a-t and idc wut anyone else said, i have used it and my hair is straight like that!!! But i still think the WIGO hair straighteners are pretty good.

Product Rating: 4 AWESOME for short hair...
Reviewer: Lara from Ohio  Wed Dec 14 2005

This flat iron is great if you have short hair. I used mine when I had short hair for about two years, then i grew my hair long and baught a larger one. Sometimes if I am going somewhere special or want my hair to look better than usual I use it on my roots and my larger one on the rest. great buy for short hair!

I purchased a Wigo product only two months ago and it's already broken. It turns out that I have to pay THEM to replace a defective product. Don't buy from Wigo unless you like being stolen from!

I recieved this straightener as a gift, and it worked great for about 1 month and then the red coating came off, and it would not heat up at all anymore! Do not buy! Waste of money

I got this product a few months ago and at first it worked fine. Now the ceramic coating is almost all off and it frys my hair. I even make sure not to have any product in beacuse it will not clean off. Please think about this before you buy.

I went in looking for a Chi, but they were out. The lady at the counter said this Wigo was just as good and cost a lot less. I want my money back, lady!!! It worked okay at first, dissapointing performance though. Product sticks to it and is impossible to clean off. After having it for a little while now, I'm shopping for a replacement. Wish I had checked out this website first.

Product Rating: 3 good beginner iron
Reviewer: Debbie from Texas  Tue Aug 23 2005

I thought my Wigo Iron was really good UNTIL I went to visit my sister & used her HAI2 Flat Iron. Now that I am back to using my Wigo I realize how much longer it takes to flatten my hair. I live in Texas where it is really hot & humid which definately effects your hair. I recommend this for someone who doesn't have really wavy coarse hair. For the price, it is a decent iron. It tends to snag my hair alittle which I don't like. It is definetly WAY better than the flat irons that are available in department stores.

Product Rating: 1 Doesn't work on thick hair
Reviewer: Amanda from New Jersey  Mon Aug 22 2005

I always wanted a straighter because I have very thick wavy hair that is not easy to wear down. I received this straightener as a gift and was told it was very good from a hairdresser. I was so excited at first but changed my mind very quickly. It took me over an hour and a half to straighten my hair and it wouldn't even be pin straight. And, as soon as I went outside, my hair went right back to its frizzy state. Everyone told me how I could stand straightening my hair for so long when most people did it in 15 minutes. I would have to go over one piece of hair with the straightener almost ten times before it would start to flatten out. I stood up with the Wigo for six months until summer came along and it wouldn't even straighten my hair at all because of all the humidity. I'm now buying a Solia and hoping I'll get better results.

Product Rating: 1 WASTE OF 80 DOLLARS!
Reviewer: Chelsea from Daytona Beach, Fl  Sat Aug 13 2005

my grandmother bought me this straigtner in december, even though i wanted a chi she thought it was the same thing. it worked okay, it didn't get my hair as straight as i wanted it though. i have gentle waves in my hair but my hair is kind of straight, and it didn't really do anything. but it just stopped working and only one side heats up and it doesn't get hot. it's not a good buy and i suggest something better. i just ordered my SEDU so hopefully that works better than the wigo! do not buy!
