After reading the reviews, (especially the Oprah comment :D )I was just about to settle on the Wigo ceramic 1" curling iron until I saw that the iron is only ceramic coated not plated. Are all the curling irons only coated and if so, are there any ceramic plated flat irons, not just ceramic coated? Please advise, Thanx

Ceramic coated. All ceramic curling irons' barrels are ceramic coated regardless of brands. |

can you make real curls and flip out your hair with the wigo 1-1/2 inch? i'd like big loose curls and the ability to flip out your hair like jessica simpson/

I have been using curling irons forever and have past- shoulder length hair and this iron doesn't give full curls, more like body waves...and it doesn't last long either. I don't know if it's because it doesn't get hot enough or what, but I've always used a 1 1/2 inch barrel with other irons and have gotten way better curls than this gives. |

This curling iron does not have automatic shut off feature, I don't think anyone is making curling irons with shut off features any more |
How hot is it?
I was reading in the detail section and it never said how hot this iron got so could someone call me back and let me know. Thank You

I have one and the digital readout does not give specific numbers, it gives bars as indication of temperature increase. But I think it can be very hot, I have very coarse hair and it is usually really hard to style and requires high heat. I have been very very happy with it since it gives pretty long lasting curls... and that is all I need to know. | | Reply by Kelly T.
