I love this flat iron. I need it. I bring it with me everywhere. When I wash my hair and then used this, it's like I've not washed my hair at all.
it's alright.

i had to buy 3 of them in a period of 2 years, it works pretty well but it shortened out very quickly and breaks easy. i dropped it on carpet and it was ruined, i now own a sedu and love it.
Great for the money

Used this straightener for 3 years until one plate died. I have fine frizzy hair, and it straightens perfectly. I just bought another of the same model hoping for another 3 good years.

it was a good flat iron. i have extremely curly frizzy hair so sometimes i didnt have the patience. but when i did have patience it turned out great. it all depends on u. but if someone asked me if it were a good choice i would say yes.

i bought my straightener expecting it to be fabulous for the price i paid, but instead it does not straighten my hair very well and it snags and pulls on it. do not purchase this straightener if you have anything other than pin straight hair

I've had this straightener for almost 3 years now. My hair is pretty thick, but straight, and it works well for it...except for the fact that it doesn't heat up as fast as it did when i first got it. i've used a chi before, and compared to the wigo, it's about 5 times better with my kind of hair. sometimes my hair gets caught in the sides of the ceramic plates, and its not very smooth and sometimes gets tangled. the paint has also begun to chip off the ceramic plates. it's alright...but if you have really frizzy, curly hair, i wouldn't suggest this!

I have had my straightener for over 2 years now and i still love it! I straighten my hair about every day or every other day. my hair is always straight and it takes me about 15 minutes....i also have really wavy thick medium length hair. Although my hair isnt really that shiny or smooth it really never has been. i totally recommend this straightener....there is always a chance for malfunctions in any straightener. the CHI is reviewed mainley by people who have had it for a short time.
Don't Buy

I spent a lot of money on one of these(not from this site) and am NOT happy with at all. Doesn't straighten and frizzes your hair. Buyer Beware - Don't waste your money on this. Next time I'm going to purchase a Solia.

i've had this flat iron for two years... ya it staigtens and still works and it doesn't look frizy like the ones you get at drug stores but it dries out your hair!!! like omg i used the chi once and my hair was extremely straight and oh so shiny! i hate my hair i never wear it down even when i straighten it! except the 2 or 3 days i used the Chi! if u need something mid range price try to get the small chi or this works!

my step mom lived in new york and had hair stylists that used the wigo on her hair, and she loved it, and i use it on her all the time, but thats only because she's got thin hair, on me, is just gets most of the waves out, but it totally doesnt get it thin, straght and silky. So thich hair, and wigo dont mix.

My straighener smells like fish, and only one side of it heats up now. Im in athletics so I have to get ready fast and I am always borrowing others straighteners because mine just doesn't do the job, and not nearly fast enough.

My iron smoked to it's end only after 2-1/2 weeks of use. I hope this was just a lemon in the bunch.

I have thick curly hair and I got the wigo for christmas and i have had it for about a year and 3 months. It has done pretty good on my hair and i have thick curly hair. My plates have worn down pretty bad though. The gold is coming off the plates and it makes my hair stink.I don't think i would reccommend this, try a chi!

I ordered this product, took it out of the box, tried it once and immediately sent it back. Not only did it not grasp my hair tightly enough, but it seemed very cheaply made. I was worried that after only a few months of use it was going to break on me. I have very curly hair that is curliest at its root, and this iron did not work at all for me. If you do not want to spend too much money, I would try the Hot Tools ceramic iron (1 1/2"). I had one for about a year and a half and it was still going strong. I recently splurged and bought the Sedu (1 1/2") which is a pretty great product. I would recommend either one, depending on how much money you want to spend, for those with very curly hair and even curlier roots.
