Not the best out there

I've had the Wigo for almost two years and at first I was overjoyed, I had never seen my hair so straight. I have ethnic hair, it's not too thick but it has a stubborn wave to it and it's really long. My hair took well to Wigo and I was able to straighten it in no time, but not anymore. For some reason it doesn't get my hair as soft and smooth as it used too, my hair feels dry and dull. The coating is chipping off and it's starting to pull my hair because of that. I'm going to be making a switch and I am looking into buying the CHI so I'm keeping my fingers crossed and hoping that I can find something that is reliable and useful!

I LOVE this flat iron. I bought it TWO YEARS AGO and i use it about once a week. NOTHING is wrong with it. It gets hot in about a minute, the ceramic caoting is not chipping, and I have not burned my hair. It takes me about 20 minutes to straighten my hair, but i deal with it. I leave it on the number 10 setting, because I have hair that's not frizzy at all, but it is curly. Too much heat and too much use too often is what is ruining your flatirons. READ THE INSTRUCTIONS, and don't set your irons to 12, all the time.
Not worth the money

I am on my second iron in less than 1 1/2 years. The first one stopped heating up on one side and the ceramic coating was chipping off. The ceramic coating on the replacement that I received about 6 months ago is also chipping off. I am going to buy a different brand this time.
don't get this iron!

In a little less than two years, i have gone through three of these straighteners. One burned out during the first couple days of use! This iron works well to straighten and smooth hair, but does not last long. NOT worth the money. I am very frustrated with this product.

I love this straightener, but this is not the one I received in the mail. The one I got had red plates and was a bit different than the one in the picture. It still served its purpose and I will use it. I would advise someone to use this prodict again, but I just wish it was the correct picture.
A WASTE OF GOOD HAIR AND MONEY

Burned up in Atlanta, Georgia

I received this product for x-mas and it worked good for 2 months - and then took much longer to straighten my hair. I have wavy-fine hair. I ended up burning my hair, and it has taken a long time to get my hair back in shape. Very dissapointed - this product is definitely a waste of money and doesn't deserve to have the price tag it carries!
I returned mine

I had a Hot Tools regular (non-ceramic) straightener and I decided to try a ceramic one since they were supposedly so much better. My mom got me a Wigo as a present and it took 3 times as long to use and pulled out a lot of hair. I just took it back and exchanged it for a Hot Tools ceramic straightener. If that isn't any better, I will go back to the regular Hot Tools straightener. It works in much shorter time and has never pulled out my hair.
HATED IT!!

I haven't even had mine for a year and it has already burned out. It fries my hair and some of the ceramic coating scraped off around the edges. It's horrible! Not to mention the fact that it just feels like a cheap piece of equipment when you hold it. It feels like it's going to fall apart. It's not worth the price and it should be sold at Walmart with all the other cheap flat irons. Don't buy it!!!
Wigo - not the best

I've had this flat iron for a couple of years and it flattens my hair but not as much as I'd like. I have very thick wavy hair. I borrowed my friend's which made me realize the Wigo is low-end compared to others.

I have purchased two of these flat irons within the last two years. The first one burned out after a week...and the second one which i still have, one of the plates doesnt work now! I have had it about a year, but they should last a few years for the price you have to pay!!! a waste of money

I have had this straightner since christmas, it has been 4 months and a plate has already burnt out so im buying a new hair straightner. The Wigo didn't even straighten my hair that well and my hair isn't very think, its medium. I depend on my friends' hair straightners to straighten my hair for going out at night. I'm getting my money back because this hair straightner blows.

I am now on my third Wigo iron. They suck...after three months the plates either burn out or catch on fire which mine did. They come with the three year insurance but, it's not worth it. After everything this iron is peice of sh** and needs to be recalled by the garbage company of america.

When I first started using this flat iron, I LOVED the results--it worked great, and I could straighten my hair REALLY quickly. I noticed how my hair immediately started getting healthier when I started using it. However, just four months later, the plates wouldn't heat up very well, and I could touch it without burning fingers. A month later, my flat iron just died on me! I mailed it to the company a few weeks ago, and I'm still waiting for a new one. Needless to say, the reviews are all true, so the flat iron which I bought for $80 was a WASTE of money. =(

I have bought 2 Wigo's in the last 13 months. The first one lasted a little over 9 months, and the second lasted 4 months. Both were used by my daughter for 15-25 minutes per day (tops). It straightens VERY well, and reduces frizz, etc. in humidity. But the reliability of the product is terrible - I am returning the second one under warranty - hopefully the manufacturer will live up to it.

I purchased this product end of November 04. It gets used occasionally for short periods - not overworked. Doesn't work at all anymore. Poor quality.

The wigo ceramic works great at first, but then after about 3 months..it stops getting hot. You turn it on and it gets warm, but after you put it through your hair once, its dead. I can lay my hand on the plate without burning myself and it is completely useless. I do not reccomend this product.
it lasts longer than everyone else says

I have had this iron for about 7 months now, and i use it about three times a week, i dont know what the problem is for every1 else. It still works really great! It has gotten my hair much flatter than anything else i have used. I think that when people say that it makes there hair frizzy, is because they live in a humid place, but i live inca very dry place, and it works good 4 me. Even though the ceramic coating has been wearing off, it still works really good. I think that if you want to invest your money inot it ,wyou should get this.
