the plates are way too small and it takes FOREVER to heat up and in addition to that it doesnt stay hot very long. PIECE OF JUNK right now I am looking into buying a FHI or a HAI

doesnt stay hot
Reviewer: janine from Simi Valley, CA   2006-01-15

first off the plates on it are very small. the first couple strands of hair will look good but the flat iron looses its heat after about 2-5 minuts ad it takes me much longer than that to straighten my hair.

plates are wayyyyy small.

i have very long, thick and fairly straight hair. ( but frizzy) when i first used this product, it seemed like it wasnt doing anything to my hair at first but later on, my hair was very shiny, smooth and straight. but it took me about an hour when it usually takes me 15 minutes to make my hair perfectly stright. when my friend used it, who has thin curly hair, her hair looked perfectly straight and VERY shiny. this iron definately adds shine to your hair no matter what, but the ceramic plates are way tooo small so it tend to take a WHILE. OH! also, you have to seperate your hair into tiny little pieces when you're doing your hair because this iron will never close together ( when your ironing it ) because it only holds small amount of hair.

not for african american or very thick hair
Reviewer: Lisa   2005-10-05

i bought this iron because it's digital and ceramic. even on the higher settings my hair didn't get as straight, even though i blow dried it straight before flat ironing. the plates don't come all the way to the ends so you can't straighten your roots if you need to.

If you want to ruin your hair, buy this iron
Reviewer: Joanne Carducci from Long Valley, NJ   2005-08-30

I spent the $65 on this iron, because I wanted to try something better than Hot Tools... well, that was a poor choice, as the Hot Tools worked better for less money. If you have shoulder length, thick curly hair, it will take you over an hour to straighten, and less than 2 hours for it to curl up, or frizz again. In addition to this, the buttons are in such a place that you constantly press them while straightening, either shutting it off or turning the temp down. DO NOT BUY THIS IRON. DO NOT BUY THIS IRON!
