I thought about buying this product, but the only good reviews I could find sounded like they were written by a manufacturer of the product trying to do damage repair. Just please keep that in mind while reading them. And thank you to everyone else for saving me the time and money.

I purchased this years ago and over did the bulbs but understand how it works. I am now out to buy a new one because the one I have got a lot of salt water in it from being sloppy. What I use it for is riding of the red dot blood capillary things on my skin that are flat and can grow out if you keep over eating from body pressure. All I do is clean first area, pinch the skin up a little w/one hand/fingers and I have pre inserted the paper stem of a q-tip in the holder and put a sewing needle in there and it is stabilized. Then w/salt water on the spot and on my fingers so that salt current does its thing I just poke the needle in the red dot and zing..it can irritate but that's good cause it's working. I can do this 3 times w/micro change placement of needle in the dot surface area to make sure. I squeeze a little to see if it will bleed. It will scab microly and look like a tiny wound . Then it heals in a few days and wa-la the upper flesh has over come the red dot (anginoma) and no more red dot. After this and wondering of these things the over eating and heavy exercise is the reason. Over doing it is the warning sign and how not to get more and eating a complete diet for strong healthy skin and prevention. Age my butt, be careful w/ yourself. I just did one on my stomach last week and it has healed and it's great to see that tiny thing gone. You only have to keep to the surface area. The cap-vein goes deeper of course and if I were a dr., nurse, assistant or friend to take care of someone to do this in an office I'd use a big lighted mag-glass and poke away and tell people onto pig out so much and keep active but in a regular way when your a kid. After I'd suggest that you take a clean hot water hot wash cloth and set on the spots you did. Best for germ killing and healing on the spots done w/o more damage of chemicals like alcohol...Good luck, it works JW, Rochester, NY

The only thing that works is the tweezers. Before you buy it think if you want to spend $60 dollars for a pair of tweezers?

Well I left a review on the 12th of Feb & I was still trying. By April I was completely sure it was total rubbish, some of those odd "single" hairs I had treated came back. I contacted the head office of the store where I bought it, they approved a refund and I went in and got cash back. So if you're not happykept & you have your recipt, TAKE IT BACK! They know they're dodgy.
grrrrr.

this product is great for people that have blond, thin hair. For those people like me that have dark, thick noticeable hair should not invest in this at all!!!!
Not worth the investment

I purchased it and found that the Q-tip with gel didn't work. I read the instructions several times, tried it several times and there was no electric current. Believe all of the negative reviews and stay away from this product.

Got one of these from QVC (I know) thinking it could be the answer to my hair removal dreams. After trying it several times (following the directions) it didn't remove anything. I would not recommend this product to anyone.
Not even close!

Sceptical, thought I'd try, bought from store late December 07. Body pads stay on for 2 x 10 mins the first day and 1 x 10 min session the next. Large pads are aprox 4 x 10cm, you can use 2 at once. That's about 6 to 8 goes to do say a brazilian, takes a LONG time and you have to pluck out each hair you've treated (I cheated & waxed underarms). I don't believe anyone could effectively use this for a large area like legs or arms or a man's back/chest & a brazilian is 'pushing it' (unless you're a contortionist, wax, don't even think about tweezers).
I'e concentrated on toes, upper lip, underarm and the odd stray. There are definate bald spots in underarms, a couple of strays I treated first have not grown back in 2 months and maybe the lip hair is thinner, BUT when you read their hair growth cycles in the book... so could just be that folicle 'resting'.
Very time consuming.
Their tweezers are unusable.
Goes through the batteries pretty quick.
Lights & beeps 'play up' & you dont' know what they mean.
Tingles a bit but did't hurt (metalic taste doing lip)
Press stud clip attachments come off sometimes.
Guarantees run out before you can accurately assess.
Pack of replacement pads $30, had to buy new after 1 month!
Still not sure, guess it would take about a year to accurately test this product. Also you won't look 'groomed' cause you're not doing other hair removal methods to 'save' the hair for the E Pen.....
IF gets rid of the toe hair and the odd strays, I'd probably be satisfied.
It works

I love this product! I have read several bad reviews on this product after I had already purchaced it for myself as a Christmas present. I first tried it on my toes thinking that was an ok place to start and now the hair is hardly there its thinner and less noticable now and ive only used it a few times! This is a GREAT product! I have also found that on other areas of the body while using the pads when i pluck the hair out that has been treated it dosnt hurt. I also have a few single hairs that were bothering me that it has totally taken care of so theres proof right there it works! Just needs some patience for the hair cycles. Thanks for making such a wonderful useful easy and affordable product! I wish i had before and after pictures but i dont.
hate it

I used the epen for around a year on various parts of my body. While using it the hair grew back thinner but that is just because you need to pluck the hairs out that you "treat". After stopping and shaving again the hair is back as thick and dark as ever before. I read bad reviews before buying and thought that maybe those people just didn't do it right. I followed the instructions exactly word for word. This product is the worst and I can't believe it is still being sold. I would love to get my money back.
works fine for me

you have to keep the hair short for this product to work! there are a lot of hair follicles per sqr cm, obviously not all producing hair at the same time so re growth is inevitable, so persverence is needed! not only does the instruction book tell you this but so will your hair stylist or beauty therapist! there is a tinglig sensation when you use e-pen and i have noticed the hair that has re grown isn't as strong as it would've been previously. you have to physically remove the hairs from the follicle as they won't fall out on their own and the e-pen won't do it for you! i have noticed a big difference in the reduced volume of re growth and there is no pain at all!!! i am very happy with my purchace and would reccomend it to anyone.
What is worse than horrible?

Call me stupid but even after seeing mostly negative reviews I gave it a shot because I thought I might be that 1 in a hundred it works okay for and I was growing tired of electrolysis and the time and money that consumed. Was I ever wrong! This thing not only doesn't work it can't even be used as a doorstop. Unless you have enough money to throw away on something that only a paid shill would say works avoid this. Just don't buy it. It is as big a scam as any out there and I know because I was someone that fell for it.

I am soooo peeved that I have wasted my money on this total actual piece of crap and am really annoyed that I didn't take the time to do my research and read reviews like these before I bought the RORT!!! You might as well not even use the stupid thing because all you are doing is wasting precious time standing there plucking hairs out and irrating the skin when you miss a single hair!! Consequently I now have a rash on my skin where I 'plucked' my hair out! DO NOT buy this - I cannot even believe it can be possible for someone to make money out of telling people to 'pluck' their hairs out and just put together some BS!!! NOT HAPPY!!!
Not impressed

I am so disappointed with this product. I have noticed no reduction in hair growth whatsoever in the year I have been using the E pen. I can't believe I was silly enough to purchase it.

I found that after just four (4) uses the targetted areas' hair was completely removed with little to no new hair growths in the treated areas. The actual "tweesering" of the hairs was removed with minimal pain from "plucking" or "tweesering". Also, I found that if the areas were treated with a "Lidoderm" 5% Lidocaine patch for 10 min. before and after treatments almost no pain was felt from pulling the hairs out. Subsequent treatments may still be required after 2-3 weeks depending on the users hair growth matrices or missed spots. I am very pleased with the results, and recommend this product for anyone male or female that wishes to permantly remove unwanted hair from any part of their bodies. Mark K.
