This set is a real steal. Not only did it came with the straightener, but it came with the Sedu spray, heat proof pouch, and the rest. This really is good to buy for those with a budget to keep with. I have before & after pics to show results. Sorry if they're not clear but thanks to the Versati, my hair has never been smoother or straight like this before. Don't just hesitate on this bcos of the low price.

i'm an african american teen who has very thick, curly hair. i have never had a perm or relaxer in my life and my hair is literally allergic to any form of moisture whether it is rain or just slight humidity. however this flat iron works great. i was skeptical of the pricing at first but figured what the heck if it doesn't work i can always get my money back. thank God that i did try my luck on this one.
Pros: >glides smoothly across hair >doesn't tug or pull out hair >leaves hair shiny, silky, and straight after just one pass >doesn't fry hair or leave it smelling fried or burnt >cheap with this deal so strike while the iron is hot >awesome curls and flips >takes no time at all to straighten >fights humidity very well
Cons: >not a lot of info about it or people to review it with solid proof (like pictures) of it being a good product

i just recieved mine yesterday. omggg it's the most amazing iron, i've EVERRRR used!!! =) it makes my hair completely smooth, silky, and shiny..... plus it curls my hair too!!! i love the little waves i get. i would deff reccommend this iron to every girl who needs one. and for the price.... pppffftttt..... you can't beat that!!!! best 60 bucks i ever spent <3
Not good for curling/waving/adding body to hair... Glad I bought it on sale..

I already have straight hair, so I use flat irons to add volume, waves, and curl to my hair...
It was not very good for curling - it almost seemed like the plates had too much grip (I never realized there was such a thing). When I would start twisting the flat iron around my hair, the plates would grip my hair so tight that I would have to let the clamps go for fear of burning my hair. I tried holding the clamps together more loosely, but then my hair would just slip out.
Another thing that I've noticed - and this is the biggest turn off - is that the red paint near the plates is starting to flake off. Usually I have to use a fine-tooth comb to brush the little glittery flakes out of my hair before I leave the house. (Obviously this is because my hair causes friction along these edges when I am curling.. But I've never had this happen with any other flat iron before.)
I don't think everyone will have these issues, only people who use flat irons to curl, wave or add body their hair. If someone were to use it for ONLY straightening their hair they would probably get pretty decent results.

The straightener, is AMAZING. it took me like half the time it usually takes me to straighten my hair every morning before school. and it was windy and kinda humid outside, but my hair stayed straight all the day long! and after i got home from school, i had to go to a concert so i curled(waved) my hair and it was just so AWESOME it actually made my hair shiney and waving it worked. it just worked so well. everyone should have this. and also the sedu spray makes my hair so soft. and the pop up brush w/ mirror is so useful for your purses

I have mainly straight hair that flips at the ends and bought this straightener for the purpose of styling eg.straightening, making my hair wavey and curling it. It claims (in the descripion of the straightener) that it does all these things so I thought that this would be the styler for me. But it barely waves my hair, and nowhere near to curls it. Plus if I do get my hair wavey then the waves don't stay in for very long at all. The only thing I'm happy with is the way it straightens my hair. It's not like awesome but it gets the flips straight. I'm really bummed about how it won't curl my hair though... My advice: if you are looking to JUST straighten your hair then get this one.

I just got my set in today and I was more than excited from reading all these great reviews. Right after I opened my package and turned on my hot iron the red light turned off.
I'm confused if that means its at it's hottest temperature or if mine's defective, because shouldn't the light turn green? and not just completely turn off?
hopefully someone can answer this question for me.
Other than that confusion the iron gets really really hot and straightened really well.
What a deal!

This is my first flat iron (believe it or not) and I figured, "why not?" The price certainly is right. All I can say is this thing ROCKS. I have absolutely awful hair. It's fine, frizzy, wiry and lifeless. In 15 minutes I had the straight, soft, brush-able hair I've been wanting for years. The iron alone is well worth the price, but getting the accessories and product make this a flat-out steal!
I just got it today and I tried it and fell in love with it !!!!!!!!!!! I got it for $39.99. Too bad it went up.But it's worth buying!

I needed a new iron ASAP after my friend's dog chewed through the cord of my trusty Sedu (which I loved), but I didn't have a ton of money to shell out since I wasn't exactly planning on replacing my iron (it was working fine until the pup run-in). When I saw this deal I was skeptical, but I figured I'd give it a try--and WOW! I'm so glad I did! It's a little smaller than my Sedu (not by much), but it works just as well, as far as I can tell so far. I have very thick & curly hair and it simply will not straighten if I use a cheap iron (those things from the drug store? forget it) ... the Versati makes my hair straight, soft, smooth & shiny in no time flat, just like any of the other high end straighteners I've tried. This is definitely a top-quality iron at a perplexingly rock-bottom price. Get one! You won't regret it! (I can't say anything about the spray that comes with it--I really wanted to try it, but I bought the iron while I was on a trip and ended up having to throw the spray away because the girl at Fedex thought it was hairspray--aka flammable--and wouldn't send it home for me, and I wasn't checking any bags so couldn't bring it on the plane--sad!!)

This straightener is really good. I have to put it n a high heat because my hair is so curly and wavy, (I put in heat pertectant) but even on 400 my hair is still really soft and not really frizzy. But i wouldnt advise going somewhere with high humidity, my hair got pretty wavy again.

WOW! WOW! And Double WOW! This flat iron delivers incredible sheen, and incredible salon finish to your hair! My flat iron died after one year, and I thought I would pick this one up to try instead of a CHI. Boy am I glad I did! I could not be a happier customer! DON'T MISS OUT on this unheard of deal! When I first read the reviews of this flat iron, I was very skeptical about it. After I tried it, I am amazed how good this flat iron is without spending a fortune. For $39.99, it is a VERY good deal. BUY it before they increase the price.

After years of using a Chi flat iron, I was reluctant to purchase anything else. I'm sure glad I chose the Versati. It takes alot less time to straighten my coarse hair with the Versati. The higher heat setting makes it a snap to straighten and have smooth, silky hair in minutes. A fantastic price for a fantastic flat iron!!!

I usually use a FHI flatiron to straighten my hair (I have a texturizer in it and I get it touched up every 6 months.) I bought this one because it was so cheap and I wanted a back up. The flatiron did an excellent job and if you want a variable temp iron that will get your hair straight quickly this is prefect. I am going to buy another set as a gift.

OMG, I just received my Folica Haul today. In it was the Versati Red Hot Straightening Set. This Versati Is The Best. I thought,I'd try it out. If I didn't like it I could always return it. I was SO SURPRISED! My hair straightened in one pass -it was smooth and shiny and OMG. If you want one get it NOW before they realize they made a mistake and raise the price. As a special bonus, it had the Sedu smoothing lotion, a pop up brush with mirror and a heat protector pad. How Lucky Can You Get! Thanks Folica

I just got this flat iron today and couldn't wait to use it. It was very easy to use. I haven't used a flat iron for a long time and was still able to get my hair which was frizzy and curly when I started to become straight and glossy. The iron feels sturdy and goes through my hair smoothly and without snagging. The end of the iron with the plates became somewhat hot when I set the iron to 420, but I think that would be hard to avoid dealing with such high heat. I was able to fully straighten my hair in about 30 min. The last time I straightened my hair, I used a $20 flat iron and it took at least an hour. The cord seems very sturdy and I really love how my hair feels now. I'm so glad I chose to buy this iron for $40 instead of $100 dollars for a Sedu. For the price this iron is a steal and although I've had it for only a day I'm already loving it.
