Vector� uses the process of electrolysis to dissolve the hair follicle by
producing sodium hydroxide in the hair shaft.
The Vector System includes a foot pedal that allows you to control the flow of
the current. The current will flow only when the foot pedal is pressed, giving
the user the ability to precisely grasp hair with the galvanic tweezers without
shocking the skin. Once the tweezers are in the ideal position, the current can
be activated by pressing the foot pedal.
The Vector� permanently removes even the coarsest hair. A license is required
to operate the Vector System with a traditional electrolysis needle.

THE VECTOR SYSTEM: - The Vector System works the same way as
professional electrolysis machine and therefore hair is removed one at a
time. It is not possible to permanently remove a patch of hair. The
treatment process requires patience and determination.
- The treatment can be somewhat painful and
can exceed the comfort level of some individuals.
- A certain level of skill is required to
achieve the best results. It takes some practice to gain proficiency in
the procedure.
- You must be realistic about your
expectations, the Vector System removes one hair at a time and
therefore it can take a long time to permanently remove hair from large
areas.
- It is easier to remove coarse, thick hair
then very light "peach fuzz" hair. A greater degree of skill is required
to permanently remove thin and light hair.

| How Does
Electrolysis Work? Electrolysis is a process in which a needle is inserted
into the hair shaft and then an electrical current is passed through the
hair follicle. Although hair itself is dry, below the surface of the skin it
is immersed in a watery environment with a high mineral content. The
electrical current from the needle causes a chemical reaction and turns the
water and salt in the hair follicle into sodium hydroxide (NaOH), which is
an extremely corrosive alkali. If you were to put just a drop of pure sodium
hydroxide on your skin, it would instantly burn a hole right through. This
sodium hydroxide dissolves the hair follicle and the papilla causing a
complete and permanent destruction of hair growth. Even though this is a highly effective procedure, it is
also has many drawbacks. First of all, the insertion of a needle into the
skin over and over again can be quite painful. Treatment with a needle also
requires a high degree of skill, the technician must guide the needle very
accurately to reach the bottom of the hair follicle. Penetrating the skin
with a needle also increases chances of infection. As it turns out, it is completely unnecessary to insert a
needle to produce sodium hydroxide in the hair follicle. The Vector� machine
works by simply grasping the hair with tweezers and applying a highly
conductive gel with silver chloride. Without the electrically conductive gel
this process would not work, as hair cannot conduct electricity. Applying
silver chloride gel to the hair above the skin allows electrical current to
pass over the non-conductive portion down into the hair follicle. |

Tried for 7 months, no result and no success upon trying this product.
RUBISH! Go to a proper electrologist/dermatologist.

I really don't mean to be so harsh but it is obvious there are a lot who don't have the patience with this device or are not using it properly. Someone said they use highest setting at 1 to 4 seconds. That is not an appropriate time. Follow the chart which comes with the device.
Poor quality device? Get real..this is really well built. Don't come to a review because you are mad at yourself for not being able to use it properly. I think the biggest problem is that people don't use enough gel. That is the key. And make sure to follow the chart based on power settings/seconds.
This is a GREAT product and am amazed something like this can be available to use at home.

I have been using this machine for 6 months with no results. I let the hair on my chin grow out and it is so ugly while it is getting long but there is nothing to do about that, it still has not worked. No matter how much gel I use I cannot get the electric connection to stay active for more than one to four seconds even on the highest setting it has to be connected for 6 seconds, I kept trying but give up and will chalk this one up to lesson learned. There are no clear directions, that help you and I have had several electricity burns from using the patch that is your negative current. You only have 30 days to return the product but the product claims that it can take months to use and many sessions, by the time you realize that it is not going to work you cannot return the product, you are left $200 dollars broker and with a bunch of hair that you still want to get rid of. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY!

It's really tedious to use. Took a while to figure it out, but once I did it worked really well. That's why I gave it 5 stars, because it does what it says it will do. I don't recommend using it on a large area. It'll take forever and make you go cross-eyed. I used it on my upper lip and am very pleased with the results.

I used this product for several months and saw no signs of permanent hair removal whatsoever. I treated the same hairs over and over again and they continued to come back. I even corresponded with customer service to make sure that I was using the product correctly and still no luck at all.
