Very difficult

I've had this for years. I've tried and practiced, practiced and tried to get this down to a science and it just doesn't work. Maybe 1 out of 10 tries. I've always tried it after a steamy shower when my pores are steamed. Nothing. I rarely even pull it out anymore because it just doesn't work and leaves me frustrated.

I have extremely enjoyed this product. It definately gets the job done. Although I must say it can make you obsessive about picking at every little thing on you or somebody else. All my friends have asked me where to get one.
Takes a little figuring out

At least it eliminates using your fingernails (which can cause unnecessary scars). With continuous use you might figure out how to use it.
Unfortunately it does not come with a small case to keep it in since one will be using it on their face. Would help to keep it sterile.
only thing that works for me

i've tried bior strips, and all sorts of gels and face washes to get rid of the blackheads all over my nose, cheeks and chin, but nothing ever worked as well as this product does. when i first got it, i couldnt get any blackheads out, but since nothing else was working for me, i kept trying. it was weeks after i finaly got my first blackhead out and that was the beginning of my obsession with this product. since figuring out how to work it properly, i have all my blackheads under control, and i never have to go buy bior strips again.
A little painful but effective!

When I bought this tool I had my doubts, but once I got it I was delighted. It leaves temporary red line marks, but they go away after an hour or so. Then the other end works very well, but only on pimples that have already surfaced and are ready to be popped. This is a much better way to pop pimples because using your fingers leaves bruises.

I always got irritated at those people that purchased a product and then completely ripped it apart if it didn't work for them, so here goes....
I've got TONS of clogged pores....nothing's been able to clear them out besides picking at them with my fingers. I chose this product b/c I know how bad that is for my skin AND b/c I needed a miracle. Sadly, I got a bit too gung ho the first time outta the chute. I willingly admit that my skin may not have been steamed long enough for the pores to be wide open. I also freely admit that I misread the term "press GENTLY". I ended up with the worst break out I've ever had. Since then I've decided to wait and actually be GENTLE on my poor clogged up skin, and if it doesn't work no big whoop. I'll be on to the next product.
Besides that, I really do think it's a great way to get the gunk outta my pores without leaving the gunk already hiding out in my fingernails behind to clog them up twice as fast the next time.
Good luck for those who do purchase this product and actually FOLLOW DIRECTIONS. If it doesn't work, happy hunting!
Doesn't work.

This thing doesn't work. Niether side works. It leaves marks all over your face from pushing so hard, yet it doesn't even get whiteheads or blackheads out. Waste of money.

White heads are my problem especially around my nose, lips and cheeks. I've had limited success on my cheeks but no success with less fleshy areas. After steaming my cleansed face with a hot towel, the tool will not 'roll out' the white head
Instructions for usage of tool is extremely vague. I e-mailed Tweezerman for advice, but never received a response. A phone call to Tweezerman produced nothing but an "I can't help you - I don't know" response.

The trick to this product is to steam your face for a long time first to open up the pores, and it must be used with a lighted magnifying mirror. It's a great way to get rid of blackheads or sebum. With a little practice and finesse it can change your life.

I bought it because I FINALLY found a tool that I can use without scarring my face! But I swear I can't figure out how to use it!! Are the loops suppose to be up and then press down on the pimple or the scoop down and scoop into the blockage? HELP! I'am confused....but other than that I would give this 4/5 stars because it's DEFINITELY A USEFUL TO FOR A CLEAR COMPLEXTION! :o)

I think this tool works great and is worth the money. It does take some practice to get the hang of, but once you do you won't be disappointed.

I purchased one of these several months ago. Wish I had of known about them when I was a teenager to stop the fingernail imprints I put on my face! Now when an occasional black head does pop up, it slides right out. I just purchased 2 more, one for my daughter and an extra one for me ... just in case I lose one. Too cool!
It works, kinda....

I guess there's only so much a tool like this can really do - it can't perform miracles! It's worth having one in your medicine cabinet though. I have had some success (and some failure) with it...so it gets 3 stars from me.
its worth it

takes a while to figure out how to use it and doesnt work ALL the time...but, when it does work, it makes the purchase totally worth it. I havent used it on whiteheads because i rarely get them... but the tweezerman does a great job with stubborn blackheads.
Obsessing over every clogged pore

Although this product works, once you start using it, the possibility of an obsession takes hold. I use it on every visible pore I have. I use a magnified mirror to get a better look too for when I REALLY feel like I need to pick. And what's worse, my teenage son has a blackhead on the side of his nose that I try to go after while he's asleep (he won't let me do it while he's awake, and he won't do it himself). Don't get this product, you'll never be happy with your skin again. There's always one more pore to pop.

This is an excellent tool to use as part of a home facial once a person gets through the learning curve. Make sure to use the tool gently as directed, and it will yield better results than just using fingers, with less damage to the skin.

IT TOOK A LITTLE EXPERIMENTING TO FIND THE BEST WAYS TO WORK ON DIFFERENT SKIN SURFACES, BUT WELL WORTH THE EFFORT. IT DOESNT LEAVE THE MARKS THAT USING FINGERS DOES AND WILL EVEN GET OUT ONES THAT YOUR FINGERS CAN'T!

I was disappointed in the tweezerman I received because it wasn't the same as the one in the picture. The unflattened wire end of the tool is bent. I believe the bend is supposed to make it springier, but it's just harder to use, and hurts more, because I'm used to a tool without the bend.
Great Product
