I bought this iron a while back as an "extra" to stash in my locker @ the gym. It takes a very long time to heat up. I would definitely NOT recommend this product and my hair is naturally straight & thick; I only use the iron for "touch-ups" after blow drying.
The thing just doesn't deliver!
Very dissapointed!!!

I have tried numerous straightners and products on my hair. It is fried, bleached, and terribly curly. I am currently purchasing a solia(better reviews than a Chi), but this is actually the straightner I have now. Don't waste your money!!! It doesn't work any better than a $10 one from Walmart!

I thought this product was great. I had like 5 flat irons before this and this is the only one that worked. Yeah you have to pay a little more money but it was great. Except i have had it for about two years and the cord came lose and it started to spark and I smelled smoke so I can't use it anymore.

I have the old hot tools hair straightner and it works great. So I decided to get one that wouldn't damage my hair. I read that this tourmaline straightens your haid without damaging it. Well its wrong! I paid over $70 for this things and it makes my hair poofier than before!

okay..well i had this amazing straightner for about two years and i put it out so i can do my hair for a school dance that was that night and it falls to peices... my mom and i frantically drive to the mall and go to trade secret..this straightner was over priced (about $80) and it STINKS!!! i have to straighten my hair about twice everyday before school because it doesn't get very hott!!!im so excited that im finally getting a CHI for christiams!!

I had the same sort of problem. I left it on while I was at work, not great, but still- I came home, turned it off. Now it doesn't heat up at all & it's only a few months old.

I got this for christmas, and my mom said she paid a $60 for it, so I expected it to be good, I've had it for 6 months now and I have never been happy with it. My hair's not that hard to straighten, and this takes me 30 min, and it doesnt stay straight. one of the plates doesn't heat up and I am just fed up. I wouldn't recomend this product.

I got this flat iron for Christmas from my sister, then yesterday (April 6th), I smelled something burning, so I looked to see if it was just up too high. It started oozing melted plastic. Now it doesn't work at all. This is a pretty expensive product to only work for 4 months...
