Super Shiny Hair in seconds!

I have boughten appliances here and LOVE them but from the Solia line, and I actually bought this dryer from the store at an even way lower price. I wasn't sure if I wanted to return it but used it this morning and immediately I noticed that my wavy, frizzy hair was sleek, shiny, and healthier. Time for me has always been an important thing since I"m always on the go so this dryer definitely helped cut the time in half and I love the end results. So far so good! I especially love the light weight factor, it makes it easier when I travel and doesn't make my bag heavier!
Comb attachment comes off

Good dryer. Cuts drying time on half. Comb attachment comes off so easily. It's very annoying. They need to fix this problem then it would be the perfect dryer.
Great while it lasts, BUT ...

At the recommendation of my stylist, I finally broke down and purchased an ionic hair dryer for my shoulder-length, very thick, wavy hair. I broke my wrist badly in the past, so I was very conscious about buying one that was "lite" so that I could maneuver it better. My drying time was cut substantially with this and it is definitely lighter than the traditional dryers of this size. However, I did not notice any difference in "shine" or "sleekness," it just simply was easier and quicker than most comparable dryers. But here's my biggest concern: I had this product less than a year when it completely died one day. And I only use it about once a week, at most. So I can honestly say .. this is the most expensive dryer I've ever purchased, but with the shortest product life! I am not a regular reviewer, but I do read and value consumer product reviews and so felt the need to post this warning because it was such a very poor experience.
Love this dryer!

After reading most of the dryer reviews, I decided on this dryer. I received it last night and couldn't wait to test it out this morning. I have shoulder-length, fine, semi-curly/frizzy hair. It used to take me about 15-20 minutes to dry my hair with my previous Conair dryer and it would almost never come out completely smooth and the ends would typically be kinky unless I spent a LOT of time on them. This morning, drying my hair took 10 minutes max and my hair has stayed smooth through a typical swampy (hot & humid) Wash DC summer day. I used the highest heat setting for most of the drying and then switched down to the medium heat setting for the final styling, which was more than enough for my fine hair. I used the concentrator, but not the hair pick tool. I will probably buy one for my sister!
HATE IT!!!!

its a really good dryer, but not that good for natural black hair. the comb attachment comes off really easily and its really annoying, and the thicker your hair is, the easier it comes off. its also a little awkward at first when you use it on your own hair because its very long. other than that, it works very well, it dries and straightens my hair in a very short time.

I bought a T3 Featherweight and HATED it...airflow was horrible and was too hot. Couldnt' understand all the hype about it. So I bought this Hot Tools instead. It's a far superior product, has better airflow and my hair comes out really good. It's got 3 heat and 3 speed settings as opposed to just low and hot (which is very hot) on the T3. One of the bullets on the box of the Hot Tools dryer is that it is very quiet; I would not call it very quiet, but it's quieter than most. Why anyone would want to spend $200 on a T3 is totally beyond me when there are more economically priced dryers like this one that do a far better job.

My hair is straight and fine and currently permed. I wanted a hairdryer that would let me blow my hair out in the sleek way that my hairstylist does. My hair has always dried fairly quickly, in about 10 minutes, and it still takes about 10 minutes to dry my hair. I haven't been able to replicate the sleek style my hairstylist achieves but it's true that my hair is less frizzy and in better condition. It's a very light hairdryer, but it still manages to feel substantial, like it won't break immediately. I've only had it for about 2 months so I can't comment on its longevity. It doesn't get nearly as hot as hairdryers I've previously owned, which I appreciate. And although the control buttons are placed near where my hand holds the dryer, I haven't had any problems with accidentally changing the settings. Overall, I'm pleased with this purchase and glad I didn't spend lots more for one of the bigger buck dryers.
I luv this dryer!

I have never in my life spent more than 20 bucks on a hairdryer as I thought they all dried the same. I have definitely cut down on drying time with this dryer. I have since got a perm so drying is minimal but the long comb attachment really helps to dry the hair near my scalp before I run out to work. I flip my head upside down and use the comb to just dry my roots. Works great. Came with a really nice bag with handles that I use for makeup.
Great Dryer!

For the price, this dryer does the job of those more expensive. I have my hair colored every three to four weeks and it is thick and medium length. The tourmaline dries it smooth, straight and in record time. One of its best features is that it is light!

I must agree with many of the other reviewers...this dryer makes my hair shinier, bouncier and it even resists humitiy. I received this as a gift, and I have been receiving many compliments on my hair. I teach middle school, and even some of the students (boys as well), have made several nice compliments about my hair. Considering how teenagers can be so critical, I really appreciate them noticing the difference.
Well worth the price, and my arm does not get tired at all.
I love this...

I did not know hair dryers came this light. Before, I had a Conair and had to put my arm down to rest it. This is so light it almost slips out of my hand! The air flow is much more powerful also so my hair drys a few minutes faster. It is not really loud, pretty much the same as most other nice dryers. I like the heat settings and cool shot. I have really curly, frizzy, big hair and I am able to dry it much straighter than before. Now it takes less time and frustration to straighten it with a flat iron. The only reason I did not give this a 5 star rating is because I have only had it for about two weeks now. So I do not know if it will last long or if it is more damaging to my hair. I highly doubt this is any worse for my hair than what I was using before.
Excellent

The design is nice: light, quiet, and I even like the look. The performance is excellent. It dries my hair fast and because of technology, it leaves my hair softer and shinier than the cheap brands. I was skeptical about investing the money after reading some bad reviews. BUT, you have to realize that using a professional tool requires practice. Now I get noticeably EXCELLENT results. Its about time I upgraded.

I ordered this dryer based on reviews it received from other consumers.
I have been extremely satisfied with the performance of this dryer. It is fast, not too hot and makes my hair look so much better then the inexpensive dryer I had been using from Target.
My hairdresser had recommended that I purchase a tourmaline ionic dryer and I am very happy that I did. For the price this dryer is definitely worth it. You could probably spend quite a bit more but I can't believe there would be much of a difference.

This dryer works wonderfully. I have purchased other dryers far more expensive and they don't compare to this one.

I have thick, curly shoulder length hair. It use to take 45 minutes to blow dry my hair but now only 20 minutes. This hair dryer is FAST. My hair is healthy and strong with the usual twice week blow dry.
Works well but a bit awkward to hold

I ordered it and it is extremely light - important due to my tendonitis - and it dries quite well.
However, I have been used to using 'travel' dryers w/ a shorter 'muzzle' - and the long length of the hairdryer 'muzzle' makes it a bit awkward to hold - at least for me.
I'm not sorry I bought the dryer, but I'm not in love with it either.
Hot Tools over T3

I really wish somebody could tell me that the big deal was about the T3! I bought into the hype, spent the money, and was totally let down! On the otherhand, the Tourmaline hot tools dryer I bought is the best. My hair dried faster than the T3 (the T3 air flow sucked)and was much shinier and bouncier. Save your money, buy the Hot tools 1875 Tourmaline and you wont regret it!!
