It works but it's not the best

I have baldness near my temples and above my ears. I'm a female, African-American, and my baldness was caused by a skin condition during childhood that went untreated.
This spray does work, but it really causes the hair around your bald spot to become stiff and stuck, so if you change your mind about your hairstyle after using the spray, you may have to re-wash your hair and start over, as opposed to just re-brushing or re-flat ironing your hair. So not convenient, esp. for a woman with my hair texture.
Also, be careful when you wash this stuff out because it could pull your hair. (Like you really need that when you're already balding.)
As for the look, this stuff usually either looked powdery or like paint depending on how much was applied. I can't say it ever looked natural. I used as directed, but I still ended with stained fingernails and sometimes a stained face (not good after spending 3-10 minutes on my makeup).
Bottom line, this spray isn't the best you can do. It might be cheap, but not very effective. I'm going with Dermatch for my next baldness concealer purchase.
waterproof, works like a charm!!

ok, used to use the fibers/sprinkles, but way to messy. all over bath, clothers, forehead...even later in the day if sunglasses on my head, or windows down... so i tried this and pro thick. Pros: this is water proof (havent swam in it...)but doesnt run with sweat, and doesnt rub off once its dried. great price. easy to use and believable if you have some hair to diffuse the effect. Cons: half size of pro thick, cheesy can advertising what im trying to hide, and a little difficult to get out. sometimes concerned that its stuck too good to my scalp and mybe not the best thing?
I have long curly hair, so i just use a comb to seperate my hair and spray it on my scalp in my thinnest areas, let it dry and fluff, or rub the stiffness out and style w/fingers.
once its dry it doesnt come off w/touching or light rubbing. i would have to scratch w/my nails to get it off, or shampoo it out. (let the shampoo sit on it a bit..just massage it out)
Think I'll stick to the powder

I've been using powder solutions for concealer for some time. Right now, I have a supply of Nex-gen. Top coverage seemed more economical, so I gave it a try. I found it very hard to work with. Difficult to aim when looking in the mirror. Also, not as convincing as the powders. It gave the crown of my head a primer-painted apearence.
I don't plan to order any more, and will stick to Nex-gen or toppik.

I was very very skeptical about this product and was worried that it would look like I had painted my scalp, but the first time I sprayed it on, I was amazed! It made my hair look thicker and my scalped showed less, but it wasn't painted on or very obvious. Just a great product, especially for a woman.
does a great job

I'm a women with thinning hair. My hair is dark in color. I have used black sprays for over 30yrs. I'm tired of the mess in my bathroom and sleeping with a towel covering my pillow and a mess coming off on my neck, face and clothes. I looked for over 20yrs for something like Top Coverage. It's the best. You spray it in and it doesn't come out until you wash it out.I prayed for something like this. It says to spray on and wait 3 minutes to dry. I find it gets a little stiff if I let it dry so for me it works better when I spray it in and then I pik and style it before it dries is the best.
I am so thrilled with this product I will probably use it always.
great product

I greatly recommend this product. The only down side , if you use more than a little, it will make your hair feel stiff. However, gives great natural look and coverage

Top Coverage Is Tops!

I'm a woman with scattered alopecia that comes and goes. Top Coverage is great for covering small spots. It sprays on like hair spray and builds a waterproof shield of color where you want it. The key word is WATERPROOF! It absolutely does not rub off on your hands, clothing, or pillow. I swim in it and have never had a problem. Washes off with shampoo. The only problem is the limited color choice. I color my hair auburn, so have used both the light and dark brown, depending on my color. Neither is a perfect match. You will need to brush and blend it in with your own hair.
Excellent Product

I have tried pretty much every single hair-loss concealer that Folica sells, and this rates pretty low in my experiences.
But first, I'll start with a positive. If you hate overspray, then this is the product for you. The application is very direct and you're not choking on clouds of product.
The bad news for me is that I ordered light brown because that's my hair color, but it's rather dark and I look like I've got dark roots. No big deal, though, and not the worst of it. The product makes my already-fragile hair very stiff, so it takes a long time to be able to brush through it to restore my hair to a somewhat-natural texture. I also have to be careful to not brush too hard or else the bristles will make little dots on my scalp.
I've taken to using this product at the crown and the back of my head, and going with a different product around my forehead/bangs area. This product doesn't mesh well with others (again, they clash to make visible white dots on the scalp). For the money, I'd buy Fullmore, which Folica no longer carries but it's where I discovered it. Fullmore has more overspray but it looks way more natural.
Not bad!

I used to be a fan of "Fullmore," but the product has been discontinued. The color is not quite as good as Fullmore's and the packaging is cheesey, but it covers well and I am happy to have found such a close replacement product.

THE THICKNESS OF THE HAIR WORKS OK, BUT NEED MORE VARIETY OF COLORS. I'AM A REDHEAD AND NEED AN AUBURN. PLEASE MAKE IT. BY THE OTHER HAND I THINK IT IS EXPENSIVE. PROBABLY AN AVERAGE BETWEEN $8.00 TO $10.00 WHOULD BE JUST WRITE.
Good but too shiny

It will cover your bald spot and make you look like you have more hair but any light on your head will definitely make the sprayed area very shiny which is not good. If they can make it less shiny, actually a duller finish, it will then be excellent.
Fabulous.....!!

This product is a *little* pricey considering how much you have to use, plus it tends to run if your scalp gets wet, b-u-t overall it's an above average product that is easy to use and has great coverage. I recommend it...

I actually use this product in combination with Couvre. I apply Couvre after shampooing, blow dry and style with gel and/or hairspray. I use mirrors to check the final look, and if I haven't done a good job applying the Couvre, I will spray on some top coverage. Believe me, no scalp shows and the look is natural. Of course, you can use Top Coverage alone on dry hair. Either way, the trick for a natural look is to give short, quick blasts of spray. Remember: you're not painting a chair. I highly recommend both products.
Very Clean, Drys A Little Too Shinny

Very clean. Doesn't come off on comb or pillow. I think this product would do even a better job of concealing if it dryed less glossy. When under direct light, it was more noticable than other products that dry with a flat/dull finish. Also, it did not thicken hair as well as another product I use that is advertised as a hair thickner.
