since the plates are kinda skinny it took a long time to get my hair straight, i have medium-length, thick course hair, i didn't like it. it felt flimsy and just didn't straighten as well as i thought it would. i had been using the thirty dollar remington wet to straight, i thought id try this one, and i def went back to my old one! :) i almost feel bad for giving it one star, but hey, that's my honest opinion.

This straightener heats up pretty fast, and it works fairly well. My hair is curly and sorta coarse, so no matter what straightener you use, it takes forever anyway...even on a Chi it takes 30 to 45 minutes...But i really do like this straightener, I use it mainly for my bangs and touch ups on other pieces of hair, so it works well for me. I even recommended it to a friend, and the difference between her hair before and after was great, and she loves it!

I had been using my moms cheap conair straightener and i decided to get my own. When I saw this bed head one I loved the color and it sounded like it would work really well. And that was a BIG mistake. When i first used it it seemed to be okay but the next time i used it it did absulutely nothing my hair would go frizzy as soon as I stepted out the door. So now I am going to return it and by a solia or a chi. DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY!!!!!!!!!!

My hair is extremely curley and thick. I have never been able to find a hair straightener that did anything for me that didn't take any less then 2 to 3 hours ! Until now ! this straightener can have my hair flat as a board in about 20 mins to half an hour and my hair is 24" long ! By far the best thing I have ever used on my head. :)

this hair straightener does heat up fairly fast, but it takes me foreverr to straighten my hair! i have to go over the same spot many times before it will be straight, and it only lasts about an hour!
i think this product worked better at first. i take really good care of my bed head, but it seems like it doesnt heat up as fast anymore!
