The first tip about hair that everyone should know is how to take care of it properly! So, in order to do that, you must find out what the problem is & why. If your hair is flat, thin, lifeless, lost of its luster, or just feels heavy-then pay attention! A single strand of hair has something called the folicle inside of it (this is where the coloring chemicals attach to dye the hair itself-a VERY damaging process, along with perms.) Flat ironing, Ironing, & constant curling of the hair weakens & breaks this cuticle, causing split ends that wreck your hair. Even the regular blowdry hurts it. So, for those who may need Thicker Fuller Hair products, take these steps to to ensure yourself. Thicker Fuller Hair worked wonders for me, but maybe you might not need to go all out. Try this:
TIPS: 1) make sure your hair cut is the PROPER one for your face frame & body type (thin hair should go for more layers or face frames to add heigth-shorter than 5 ft 3 like I am? then get a cut that is ABOVE your collar bone, it gives an illusion of an elongated neck & better frame on your torso) 2) DO NOT add sun-in or highlights, the sun will naturally adhere to your highlights & bring them out 3) GENTLY wrap your hair (post shower) in a towel until it is 80% dry, then you can blow dry on the lowest setting to cause very minimal damage. 4) DO NOT pile on the gel or hair spray! the more chemicals you use, the more it will weigh your hair down! Go easy on it, & apply mouse which is more lightweight at the roots to boost volume. 5) when blowdrying, use an OPEN large ROUND brush to gain bounce & begin at the roots & brush it "up then back" & don't worry about the ends-they dry fastest! 6) make sure you are using the proper shampoo & conditioner for your hair TYPE. Some of those dandruff shampoo names only cause MORE dandruff after long time usage, even head & shoulders. shoot for the shampoo types with natural ingrediants like necter or honey & milk or soy. Try whatever you need to until you find one that works for you!*Some conditioners only weigh the hair down more, if so, use a spray leave in conditioner, or a freezer-like Paul Mitchells Freeze & shine. It acts as a hairspray & applies shine, but protects your hair like a conditioner without the weight!
