I've been trying to contact the company about this for years. It appears everyone else here agrees...my experience is that the formulation changed in the mid to late 90's...somewhere around 1996-1998...at least that's when the new product reached the stores in my area and when I and my other half both noticed it had changed. At the time, Advance Laboratories was on the bottle, and when I tried contacting them through both email and phone, I never received any response. Then the company either went under or was sold. New company was then Henckel Schwarzkopf...have been having a terrible time trying to find them as well...that was absolutely the best shampoo for both men and women (the scent was WAY better than the new brown top one as well...this stuff smells like bug spray). My hair was 10 times fuller than it normally is and you could feel the difference when you dried your hair, right down to feeling like the roots were standing up. If anyone has any info on company, websites, whatever, I would love to know...can send me an email at ThickerFullerChange@yahoo.com. LET'S GET IT BACK!!!!

I used to use old Thicker Fuller Hair Shampoo and I was extremely happy with it. The shampoo was adding volume and it wasn't over drying my hair. My hair looked full and thick. Now with the new formula, when I washed my hair looks very flat!! I wouldn't recommend this shampoo anymore. This new formula is not working!!!!!!!!!

I have been using this product for about 14 years. They recently changed the formula. It is horrible. BEWARE. DO NOT BUY THE NEW FORMULA. It doesn't work. Why did they change the original formula.

The original formula made your hair actually look fuller, look clean, created a lot of lather and the scent was very nice. The new formula makes your hair look very flat, limp, seems very harsh on the scalp, creates no lather and the scent is so strong like cheap perfume that the smell just constantly lingers through out the day. I have used the original formula for so many years I believe at least 20 years and I hope your company does return to the original ingrediants.

Another lost customer....PLEASE BRING BACK THE OLD FORMULA.... I will not buy this new stuff again, and will be throwing out the full bottle that I just bought today; Thanks alot Schwarzkopf & Henkel.

This was the only shampoo that worked for me. It did exactly what it said it would do, make my hair fuller and thicker. Now, in these tough economic times, i am left with nothing. I now have thin horrible hair and look like an idiot. CHANGE BACK TO THE ORGINAL FORMULA!!!

I had an omen that the new formula was bad when I dropped a brand new bottle on my toe at 6 am. At the end of the day my hair looked awful and my toe was purple! I guess it is time to look for a new shampoo which is so sad. I suppose someone decided to put less of the good stuff in so they could increase their profit.
New Formula stinks and leaves hair heavy and limp.

I've used this shampoo for years and loved it. It was the best thing I ever found for my hair...then, some idiot pencil pusher decided they needed to change the formula and absolutely ruined it! I have asthma that is exacerbated by certain smells. This stuff stinks so bad that it triggers an asthma attack when I use it! Go to your local grocery store and buy the cheapest crap you can find and it will, no doubt, be better than the new formula. I will never buy this shampoo again, unless they change the formula back to the way it was.

Please go back to original formula,,I used it for so many years,, I have recommened it to many. With the new the smell is awful, my head itches all the time, and I just can't use it. I used to buy 3 bottles of the old, because I was afraid something like this would happen. Now I'm out of the old and can't stand the new..please go back,,,please I need the old product. I BELEIVED IN THIS PRODUCT, IT MADE MY HAIR SO THICK,AND BEAUTIFUL,,PLEASE DO YOU HAVE ANY OLD BOTTLES ANYWHERE?????

Better looking package and much worse formulation. Old product cleaned hair and made scalp feel alive. new product does nothing well and appears to have a fraction of the piror formula's ingredients. Why the change? Loved the old product and was a customer of its for many, many years

This new formula of thicker fuller hair stinks.The smell is so bad my throat and lips swelled up.I am super sensitive to some fragrances.I used the original formula and liked it very much and had no problem with the fragrance but this new fragrance is horrible I could'nt get the smell off my hands even after washing dishes.Please go back to the original formula so I can continue to use it.Think of people like me who have allergic reactions and go back to the original formula.

Hi. I see a lot of people have posted about this product. I can't agree enough with the people who are unhappy with the change in formula! I HATE it as well. Why did they have to change the BEST hair thickening shampoo I have ever used in my entire life?? I have been using this product for years. Not to mention, the price! It is so affordable, but now it's not even worth the measly $5! I would rather them change back the product to the original and charge a couple more bucks! Well worth $10 if you ask me! As for those of you who are confused by all of the good ratings, look at the dates. The good reviews were posted months, if not years ago. This product just changed over a couple of months ago. PLEASE CHANGE YOUR PRODUCT BACK. Either that, or make a classic version we can all buy and be happy with (just like the cola company did). PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE!!

I LOVED this product with the old formula. Now I just purchased the newer formula and I don't like it! I don't get the great results that I did with the old formula and actually...this stuff kind of stinks! I thought I had a shampoo and conditioner that I would use for life...now I guess I need to move on!

i used this shampoo before and it really works, i dont know some people says it doesnt work unless they overused it thats why its not working,try to use this product at least once a week then see the results if it is working or not.

I have been using this shampoo for years. It gave a thick rich lather to my hair. Then earlier this year, the formula got changed. I hate the new one. It does nothing for my hair. I was lucky enough to find some stores that still had the old formula on the shelf. Please change back the formula to the old one! I think a lot of people on here would be happier.

i have EXTREMELY paper thin hair and i have tried many name brand products to thicken it. This shampoo is alright, especially for the cheap price, but it doesn't do half as good a job as Nioxin.

I have very fine, curly hair that has thinned somewhat since menopause. I picked up a bottle of this shampoo at the drugstore a few weeks ago and amazed at how much better my hair looks! It's full and bouncy and seems less dry and damaged. I love this stuff and hope I'm not jinxing it -- usually when I find a product I really like it goes off the market.

Best shampoo I have found. Hair is really light and fluffy, like when I was a kid. Shiny too. The smell is excellent.
